Maybe a Mk3 Jetta GLX VR6. That was my middle school dream car.

Love those things.

Didn’t even read the post. But please God, not a cheesy boring freaking Lexus. Especially not the boring-est of all, an ES! Lexus has worn out their welcome with these stupid commercials featuring beautiful families cloistered away in their secluded, ultra-modern houses, giving each other Lexuses in the lightly

Any excuse to drive that sweet Passat.

I have an idea for real fuel economy gains in modern internal combustion automobiles: Downsize the engines, but don’t add turbocharging.

Holy crap I have never seen footage of this series. Freaking nuts, I can’t believe how hard they hit those chicanes.

Alltrack weighs less? Haha, wow.

Strategically-placed rock under the rocker panel to highlight the massive ground clearance...

I was going to post some snappy comment about how, to us plebeians, 0-60 in 4.0 seconds is still pretty damn fast. Then I realized this thing has 577 HP. What the heck is wrong with it? Needs bigger cheater tires? Does it at least have a wicked 20-60 time?

That’s a busy cockpit. Maybe better if you’re actually sitting in it...

Dashcam owner took it about 150 feet farther than necessary. Once the guy is a couple feet into my lane, I think I back off rather than try to hold my ground and run him into the back of another BMW...especially with my family in the car.

Of course legally speaking he may not HAVE to let the i8 into his lane. But is that moral (or rather legal) high ground worth almost getting in an accident and starting a confrontation with another driver when you have your whole family in the car? I’m certainly guilty of making stupid moves like this in traffic, but

I’m not personally interested in this car or any of its competitors, but I do think the name works pretty well. It’s simple, probably easy to remember, and fairly sober (appropriate for the brand, perhaps). Quite a bit better than the rumored “Teramont,” in my opinion.

A bit more clearance is appealing for something as simple as getting over packed snow berms here in the Northeast, or taking an “unimproved” road to a trailhead like I did this summer in my dad’s Mk4 Jetta wagon (had to stop and walk for fear of the oil pan, though it turns out my dad got through the same place OK in

Looks sharp, probably a fun car. Is that photo accurate? Looks really aggressively styled. Frankly I’m impressed with how wild the different variants of the new Civic look. This looks like it should be an SI. Not a Honda guy myself...will there still be a new generation SI that slots in above this (in looks and

For the life of me I can’t figure out why GM would think this is a good idea. I mean, have you seen the light passenger diesel market in America these days? But...I guess I’m glad that they’re doing it.

The regular GSW 4Motion is appealing too. But I’m actually kind of happy that the Alltrack doesn’t have the clearance of the Subarus. I just don’t need that most of the time, so it would be wasted on me (as it is with most Subaru owners, perhaps). Certainly not knocking it, but in my case I actually like that the

True, in a strange way this is practically a parts bin car. Except for the extra plastic.

Compared to this thing, your wife drives a lifted hatchback with a manual transmission. Cool car though, not knocking it.

Someone said it has taller profile tires too, which adds up to a 1.4" or 1.9" lift or something like that. Haven’t verified that myself. If it’s true, I don’t know why they wouldn’t advertise the taller number to prevent snide comments like yours, haha! (No offense intended).
