I like how you’ve phrased that there, I’ve been saying “fandoms should stop worshipping real life humans and stick to worshipping the fantasies that have been created”.

Sounds like you’re not playing in hard mode then. Which is the superior mode.

If a person worked on it then yes of course.

Is it? Why? If I can’t tell the difference why would I care who created it? What’s the fantasy here exactly?

All they had to do was look at their own game ... remember the days of Symmetra’s teleporters being used to just chuck teammates off cliffs?

My PS5 is my default gaming machine right now. About a year ago I switched from Xbox being the default system to PS5.

I know it’s not much but we had been planning to go to DisneyWorld next year. Now? After DeSantis’ “performance” and their battle with Disney over their autonomy, we’ve changed our mind. Which is a HUGE bummer as my son who would be 3 then loves Mickey Mouse and his crew.

The answer to your question is, very British-ly, complicated.

Maybe it’s a keyword problem. I see “playing” as a specific keyword. The other player explicitly did NOT “play” that card. As you said, they “took control” of them.

Agreed, looking at you Horizon.

What’s next, a person represented in a video game dyes their hair and gets sued by the hair dye company?

Kind of feels like a threat of violence to me, too, because “do you want to see God” is the kind of thing you say to someone you’re about to murder.

Funding. And maybe introducing devs to his contacts.

I think the “dismissing entire genres” is partially a joke. Notably he hates jrpgs but he still acknowledges the greats, and even seems to really love some of them.

A lot of people care. Maybe just not your neighbors.

5/13/2022 is in the past so I assume the release date is a typo?

To me, this feels like Xenoblade with a heaping dose of Persona. Persona games are extremely similar in tone - dark topics but filtered through teenage eyes so it’s darkness isn’t bleak and depressing, it’s something to overcome.
