@trstn: Pretty much, yeah.

@Vidikron: Heh, funny. I actually hate using my PS3 because of how much I dislike the XMB. I've never had any slowdowns or anything with the NXE?

@pmindemann: Tell us how this ties in to the 9/11 conspiracy theory, as well.

@Vidikron: XMB is functional. NXE is functional and pretty.

@TERROR-HORROR: Didn't realize the dashboard was preventing you from playing games.

@davidr521: Yeah, technicalities though. That's why I originally said "rent-to-own", like some car leases.

@Pesti-Esti: Well, yeah, I know they used to lease phones, my point is they still do, they just tricked most people into thinking they own their phones :)

@failure_to_communicate: Basically it means you're stuck with Motorola for updates. So if they take a long time, you're stuck.

@Pesti-Esti: Um, why do you think Early Termination Fees exist? You're renting-to-own that phone.

All the problems the RIAA has with piracy (killing out profits! we won't see any of the money! etc. etc.) are still valid. And plus as you mentioned, he's listening to unlicensed music as soon as he sells the

@Facebook: I think you technically lose your license to the music when you sell the original media. That's just a guess, admittedly, I'm too lazy to look that one up but if I recall buying a CD is buying a license to the songs. That goes back to the day of vinyl, actually. Sell the media, sell the license.

@Facebook: That must be new, because they've said in the near-past that ripping CDs is illegal.

@Sigismond0: It's technically legit, but no one told that to the RIAA. They still claim it's "illegal" and a violation of copyright.

@Facebook: That's still piracy. You can't rip songs to MP3, according to the RIAA.
