Gotcha. I know so many artists who are pressured to give away their talents for free (for exposure!!!!) and I take issue when anyone argues that they should just do it for love of the art (which I don’t think you were saying on a reread) rather than it also be a business.
There’s no reason why an artist (and a group of artists, cast/crew/directors/theatre staff, etc) should not be properly compensated for their work. You can love your art and also want to be fairly paid. He’s taking issue with the third party that is turning a profit off of their hard work.

Again, VERY predictable, but even so I think the story is interesting, and there are definitely some scenes (and characters) that are winky homages to the movies—as long as you don’t take it too seriously as horror (the same way I tell people to watch the movies!) you should have fun!
Yes! I really liked it, though as far as binge-watching goes could only manage 2 in a row at a time, it’s pretty intense. I really enjoyed S1, though.
Slasher was recommended to me on Netflix after finishing the whole first season of MTV’s Scream (which I loved as a giant fan of the movie franchise even though it was predictable—I had fun!), will probably watch it next
