As far as his early career I would have to give Legend a shout out, and Thelma and Louise was pretty good. I really enjoyed Gladiator and Kingdom of Heaven. G.I. Jane was decent along with Hannibal and American Gangster.

But it kind of does have a built in awareness because people are aware that, even though it might not be a direct alien prequel, it takes place in the same universe as alien, and will definitely tie in one way or another. Plus the trailers look great.
