Yeah, what a jerk.

I posted two linked. One to support the proposition that children can be and often are manipulated into believing things that never happened.

What gets lost here is that Allen was investigated and the weight of the evidence including the opinion of experts was that Dylan was not abused. We know that children can be coached into believing things that never happened. The experts in the Woody Allen case concluded that that is what happened there.

“We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, and that they are endowed by The Thing with certain inalienable rights....”

How the fuck is that any different than every single time Trump opens his mouth?”

...and knowing is half the battle.

Isn’t a defamation lawsuit a better solution for “made up” stories? You really want the government to be the gatekeepers of “truth.” Do people really think this is a good idea?

The government should absolutely protect famous people from people saying mean things about them. Such a great idea that would absolutely never be abused so let’s not worry about that.

Agreed.  It’s like the prequel to Terminator where before the robots kill all of us they humiliate us with sick burns.

No doubt. The disembodied robot voice was an awesome interviewer. And Eillish was delightful. If this was a backdoor pilot for a weekly podcast I would not be disappointed.

To me she’s Lorde but nihilistic, and I’m more of a melodrama sad boi than I am Gen Z absurdism.”

Out of curiosity: who has argued this? I keep reading over and over how all those bad guys say that this proves there is no racism. But, I’ve never actual read a single bad guy say such a thing. Just all the good guys talking about how all the bad guys must think.

Candyman?

Yeah? Half the kids I knew were bit by monkeys swinging on our tetanus bars.

It’s sort of hilarious that the hair ruffle people are still pissed off. What is the statute of limitations on hair ruffling? I guess years.  Milquetoast Jimmy Fallon has become the Jane Fonda of the fringe left and it’s funny as shit.

I hated. Like gouge my ears out hated that song when it came out. Now I am oddly nostalgic about it. I still don’t enjoy it, but I kind of like it if that makes sense. (It doesn’t.)

I’m fine with the “stick to sports” angle. A very important athlete with lots of on the court achievements died and leave it at that. But when we veer into how great a family man and citizen Kobe was...at that point you have a journalistic obligation to tell the whole story in context.

Wow. This is very comprehensive. Like Ken Burns level shit.

Nothin's gonna ever keep you down.
