Just realized I missed what she said about the sketch writer being fully aware of her short. I still want to hear the writer’s side of the story, but admit it doesn’t look good.

I just re-read Tig’s statement and saw that she is definitely claiming that the writer who worked on this sketch was “fully aware” of her film. My fault for skimming. If that’s true that changes a lot for me... I’d love to hear from the writer who is being accused of stealing, but I’m sure they’ll be pressured to keep

Full disclosure, I work in comedy (In Canada so on a WAY smaller scale), and comics can be the worst at keeping up with their peers. Mostly because we don’t want to be subconsciously influenced... But also because we’re self absorbed.

I don’t think the clown performing for one lonely adult is an idea that is impossible to reach by 2 separate people. Clowns are a common theme lately... Also, comedians think about this exact thing all of the time. Having to entertain an audience that is not for you, in a shit/creepy setting is something many comics

It does look nice, and her motivation for covering her hair is completely unknown to me.

I wrap my natural hair when I don’t want to deal with it. And I use make-up to cover my acne, despite it making me feel insecure. So yes, I have a bias.

She did open herself up to critisim. Not because she chose to don a more natural look... But because she promoted it like an album.

I’m a Black woman with a public job, hormonal acne and natural hair, so I am a little interested in her motivations... I can relate to her insecurities and anxieties... But I’m not a fan of promoting no-make-up and then cheating it, because it adds to the insecurity of other women who feel weird about not being as

A lot of shadism exists for Black women with hair texture and length... So I get the head wrap if it’s about wanting to be seen as something more than just your hair.

The key to singing is to wear a dress you’re terrified to move in.

I was just explaining the concept of universal health care.

Whoops. I think I misunderstood that comment. Thanks!

Oh good... Then I’m not at all like a horrible person. Thanks for the confirmation.

Same here!!!!

Predictable and smug maybe? But not white. Very much a Black woman.

This is fair... I was too broad.

You probably need to take this less personally since it was a flippant joke about trolls.

My point, since you need it spelled out, is that people who miss the point of this movie also like to troll on Jezebel and are the reason the grays exist.

“If the reverse of this movie was made, I bet you snowflakes would be crying racism.”

Kellyanne is a bad person. Her material and everything we know about her is reflective of that.
