YOU GO TO HELL! YOU GO TO HELL AND YOU DIE

If you want to buy and SUV and keep an SUV, there is only one choice, Landcruiser or LX. 20 years from now, this will still be on the road and be, probably mechanically perfect.. My former 2000 Yukon XL, bucket of bolts 14 years later with only 115k on it.

I laugh so hard at people who say this.

I’ve towed an enclosed car hauler all over a couple dozen states with an LX570. Fabulous & durable contraption.

“The Lexus LX is a Toyota Land Cruiser for Sheikhs”

They’ve done buying guides for other more “regular” cars as well. Bear in mind that the target demographic is not just the average Kinja commenter. People will come to these posts as they research their new car purchase, which opens up Jalopnik to new readership.

So I take it you don’t ride? No judgement. If you did ride you might understand a bit more.

It’s not free. The carbon brakes are exempt from BMWs free maintenance program. And they are STUPIDLY expensive to replace.

Anybody who uses the word “McMansion” has no business discussing financial backgrounds.

I feel like I’ve commented on a lot of the Lanesplitter post these last few days. I’ve always had an interest in bikes because I’m a guy, and I like going fast. I daily a relatively quick car and I have a separate track car for play time. Ever since I began actually going to the track I’ve greatly limited my limit

See this is the way to do it. Most people hear used exotic and automatically run and say “youre crazy! Its going to cost you a bajillion dollars a SECOND to maintain that car” in actuality if you budget properly, perform routine maintenance and keep a kitty aside for problems then you will be FINE.

Right. Which is why people should do their research and see if they can afford it. All cars require maintenance and exotics have expensive parts. All I’m saying is the cost of entry is now considerably lower than it used to be.

That’s completely unnecessary. You weren’t hoodwinked, they’ve disclosed their relationship to Autodromo multiple times, and went so far as to straight up respond to you in the comments.

Actually you have it backwards. Options are the parts of a Porsche that depreciate the most. Even with a Boxster or Cayman you can easily add the price of a very nice car in options alone, and you will never get that money back. They won’t show up in the blue book valuation, which is the best excuse anyone will ever

I couldve afforded the bmw 335i instead of the G35 that I bought but I preferred the infiniti mainly because I liked the fact that I could fix it myself if anything were to happen, it is reliable as hell, and parts that are very important aren’t made of cheap plastic. Seriously ask any bmw owner how many times they

My only complaint with the noise from a viewing perspective (rather than delighting in engineering excellence - God, that sounded cheesy) is the pitch. I quite like the current noise level - loud enough to be dramatic, but not so loud as to drown out the other sounds the cars make.

I think expectations are a bigger problem. A 1.6 V6 turbo is never going to sound like a naturally aspirated V8/10. Its stupid to expect otherwise. The new engines are nearly 30% more thermally efficient than anything F1 has ever run. Noise is wasted energy. The lack of it is a good sign because it means that energy

I personally like the E65, Chris Bangle gave BMW a whole new level on the design. It completely changed the course of BMW vehicles.

The man died in a car that he could have gotten out of. It’s sad that he died, but if you feel like assigning blame in a tragic situation like this (because this is ‘Murica, where your lawyers have to have somebody to blame) then yes, the fault is with the guy who owned a car and know/see how to open the door in the

Come to New York, where it’s illegal to simply hold electronic devices while driving.
