Yeah, because that's what Kotaku needs, more obvious bias against the Wii U. Thanks for being the brave soul to demand this.

Science constantly tests, retests, makes new hypotheses, and then tests them. There is no one paper that explains a certain thing; there will be myriad of papers, all detailing different research conducted, in different facets of a given topic.
So were they playing just any games, or games approved by their parents, or games designated by the study? I believe the concern is that violent games desensitize children to violent acts and normalize violence as a viable solution to social conflicts.
Actually, results of such studies are mixed. The biggest one, with over 130.000 participants (meta-study) in both Japan and the USA, did find a significant increase in violent behaviour (including bullying). But then again, quite a lot of other studies did indeed find the opposite. I personally believe, they should…
TV is generally thought of as more harmless than video games when it comes to the emotional health of kids but the Glasgow study found that "watching TV for 3 h or more daily at 5 years predicted increasing conduct problems between the ages of 5 years and 7 years." No corollary effect was found with video games,…
I too am excited, but I can only afford one this week and I can't decide what to get. I'm thinking of holding off on A Link Between Worlds since I just got A Link To The Past from club nintendo. Replay that to get pumped up, ya know?
Sad but true.
Wow, an actually well-mannered and happy post. Thank you sir, may your gaming endeavors be merry as well!
I am so excited! I'm finally getting a console day 1 and while I'm aware they could come with problems ps4 cough I already gave my prayers to Arceus so that doesn't happen.. Lets hope for the best!
I'll be happy when its finally out. I'm hoping the "war" will die down a bit and people will just have fun playing video games for a while. I won't be getting an Xbox One, but to those who are, I hope its everything you wanted.
I hope you guys who are looking forward on getting XboxOne have a great time with the console and the release goes well. :)
You are welcome! My PS4 has been great so far and I'm looking forward to my Xbox One next week! If I get bored with either I'll just play something on my 360, PS3 or even my gaming PC. I'm a "have your cake and eat it too" type of guy.
This is why people need to ease up on the early adopters. Without them, the rest of us wouldn't get information like this, or future price drops.
I think the Wii U will get another price drop next year.
Operation Rainfall was a great movement that did influence the gaming scene.
I agree with you! My PS3 has so much mileage left.
I still have games I haven't had a chance to play. Plus there isnt anything that is compelling me to get a PS4 currently. Ill wait for more games, and all the issues to be ironed out.
I've always enjoyed being an early adopter. I like the Wild West feel of early days. I remember last gen when everyone was excited to buy the consoles day one. This time around there seems to be a lot less enthusiasm. I don't understand why. 400$ isn't exactly a kings ransom, that's approximately 3.5 nice dinners with…
Yep, and I look forward to everyone beta testing the Xbox One as well. By the time I'm ready to get both next gen systems most of the initial kinks should be ironed out, and there might even be rumors of newer iterations of the hardware.
Basically what I've been saying to the people I know who preordered the console.
Yeah they don't lose out on anything (apart from time and getting stressed), but it just seems silly to me to pay so much just to iron out the bugs.
I'll be pretty happy when I get a nice bundle at a decent price in a year or so, good times…
