This is still my favorite use of music in a game. The shanties are so well done. I actually sang an SATB version of this song in my college choir last semester.

Throwing out a tip for anyone doing this. Get a rubber band and a Touch of Malice. Rubber band the R2 button and the Malice will kill you quickly. Well Kirby was actually very good in the original Smash Bros. He’s been pretty bad since then with Project M being the exception, and I suppose now in Smash4 with custom movesets. But yeah, Project M Kirby is ridiculously fun and fast.

You could shred on GH better because the timing window was wide and forgiving. Rock Band required you to have accurate timing. GH let me get away with some ridiculous stuff. I felt like it treated me like a child. Also if you don’t mind switching discs to play a song than you’ve clearly never had any kind of party…
