Still trying to move along with things after last weekend. I haven’t gotten a chance to play many games for long this week, just a bit of Pokemon. I definitely am finding it frustrating that there aren’t a lot of people looking for Max Raids anymore, or that they set up link codes. I’d like to get a Gigantimax

I agree the Kotaku staff have been working hard under difficult conditions; I would nominate Cecilia D’Anastasio as a gamer/games journalist worth noting. After breaking the Riot Games story in 2018 and her final article on Kotaku being the Razer CEO story, her departure from Kotaku is a very concerning sign.

I had the same take. The shoes themselves aren’t that bad I actually like them but the Time In and Ninja lettering kill it for me.

ya its not a bad shoe outside of the actual stuff that is different about this variant, I like it more than how ultra boosts or their big clunky one run.  Was like what Luke, these arent bad at all, hell I would bet they are better looking than most your wack shoe collection, but then scrolled down and saw the other

Was Ray Park the Zabrak Cara was wrestling with?

The shoe looks ok, but them writings.. they could make it smaller... or place them more strategically

The color scheme makes me think of Vegeta’s armor, which is kinda cool, but the text basically ruins it.

I'll admit, I kind of like them except for that writing on the inside. I get kind of a sonic the hedgehog vibe. The character, not the character's shoes.

and here I thought they peaked with all the shitty gaming and anime shoes they made.

I think the Gamer(s) of the Year this year should go to the writers and staff of Kotaku and Stephen Totilio i specifically. There have been so many amazing pieces this year. Dives into DnD, exposing toxic workplaces, retrospectives on why launches went wrong, and so many other pieces that I can’t recall while trying

This is a great list, and feels different than what a lot of “gamers of the year” lists tend to look like...

I can’t say I shared the frustration. Even with the recruitment scenes and backstory I felt it moved swiftly and had solid tension that built throughout.

Players said they liked big butts and they could not lie, but Naoki Yoshida did deny.

“so the editorial decisions are being made by some harried backwater cletus-ass racist motherfucking station manager in Iowa”

If a ninji represents ghost run data, it should be translucent.

I feel you Tycho, I feel you.

Shitty. Zola should pull ALL their ads now and not advertise on Hallmark at all anymore.

One person getting fired while posting a joke about how it’s so hard to believe everyone will eventually be fired is definitely pushing this joke a little too - - - well shit, now I’ve been fired as well.

I find that extremely hard to believe, and feel more evidence is need---oh, damn. I was just fired from the show, too.

Fact: Scientists calculate that by the year 2100 every single person on the face of the Earth will have been fired by American Gods.
