The movie and game rental market in the US has been thriving and "a thing" for decades. We don't need to get used to the idea of "not owning a game".

Yeah, I totally believe this. I made some collectible walkthrough videos for this game and they are still getting views 10 years later. This and Saint's Row 3.

Game makers are certainly not lazy or entitled, but I do think that there is a certain mindset that exists where people are not used to constraints in various forms. I’ve posted about this years before when talking about file sizes and such, where game makers and publishers have no to little incentive to reduce file

The point is that the cast of Friends bargained collectively, and it brought about massive benefits. How those benefits were structured is irrelevant to the fact of how the benefits were gained.

The reason why the cast of Friends was so well compensated was because they bargained their contracts as a unit. They were an ensemble cast and had the same contract and compensation for the 6 primaries. So, you know, collective bargaining works

A broken collarbone

Security professional chime in: using a password book is more than fine for your average non-commercial use. No one is breaking into your house to specifically steak the password book off of your desk.

Botw sold more copies than every other previous entry combined. Of course its going to be the new format going forward. Get used to durability, nerds.

What a chud. Instead of paying $2,000 for whatever this piece of software is, just rewatch the "I dated a robot" bit from Futurama.

They should use Statler and Waldorf every year.

You know what? Animal from the Muppets freaking rules. Im going to watch for just his part

I think it’s reasonable thay VGBC felt they had no choice to cancel. This situation has multinational companies, language barriers, laws and rights holders in different countries, lawyers, ect. The chance for confusion is high. If I were in this situation, I would make sure everything was crystal clear in triplicate

Both Nintendo and Panda have said the decision to cancel was VGBC’s alone, with Nintendo stating they weren’t forcing that on VGBC explicitly because of the impact to players. While yes the underhanded behavior with Panda has be confirmed by their side, I still don’t see VGBC as having a leg to stand on. They were

Thats very true, but the general consensus seems to be that VGBC is telling the truth without the same corroboration. Lack of response doesnt indicate agreement. And random Google docs trashing industry members doesn't give a good look. With Nintendo stating it didnt require the cancelation of Smash World Tour, these

From the outside, this comes across as a big temper tantrum by the VGBC people. I get the sense that they felt they should get a license based solely on the fact that they were doing tournaments already and no changes would be done despite communication otherwise.

Deplatforming works

That is super surprising that Kotick would do this, voluntary or not. Can't help but think Microsoft's stance forced his hand. He can treat it in a way that as long as the sale goes through, this is Microsoft's problem not his.

Checked the date on steam, October 23, 2013. Time to set a calendar event.

Have I got news for you then.

Im sure he saved a lot of time by not answering the phone every time his cousin called.
