It was always going to be a shit show. It didn’t matter what they were going to do, whether pages were hidden or things weren’t announced early. The bot makers have been cutting their teeth on shoe and streetwear orders for years. This was nothing. Their programs would have been ready to go weeks or months ago, and

Now playing

Listening to these tracks, I am very much reminded of Igor Stravinsky’s The Rite of Spring.

In the past it was desk (PC) gaming so much more. As I’ve gotten older though, I’ve found myself wanting to be bound less and less to my desk. I would much rather spend time out with my partner, or just feel less like I have to focus 100% of my attention on a desk (PC) game. This has also coincided with my focus more

I try to be. It’s more of a desire to build and mess around with things. I’ve always been the type of person who sees something and thinks, “Yeah, I can do that”. Maybe not better or cheaper, but at least able to do the thing.

Ah, my bad. I totally meant Soul Caliber 2.

Who is that again? He sounds just like a former blogger.

Doesn’t seem like Deathloop will remain exclusive to the PS5 anymore. Since everything in the press release has already been released, Bethesda must have some exciting unannounced stuff in the pipeline. No way is Microsoft dropping billions on Starfield alone.

While I can’t name or even recall a track from Soul Blade 2, really the only game I played in the series, I definitely can recall the feelings it elicits. Just all soaring epic-ness, where every track and fight is like the big important fight from a historical wusha epic.

It’s been odd to get back into the work flow for only two days before the weekend happens, but I’m still glad for that weekend. Goemon 64, The Messenger, Mario All stars, Hades, just so many switch games to play.

One of my friends from college loved this game. I saw him beat the last boss and then wanted to give it a try myself. I just couldn’t get the rhythm based battle system down, and the first disc was super tedious. I didn’t get much farther than that, but this game has always hung around in the back of my mind.

Back to the grind today. At least it’s only for two more days. Gotta catch up on these emails though.

I feel so seen. Especially when dealing with some thing like an n64. Yes, my computer is more than enough to run this game. Hell, the phone I used 3 phones ago is enough to run this game. Let's just bump that resolution up a bit and the whole thing has crashed to a point where the emulator wont boot and I need to

I really have been lol. All that emulation nonsense yesterday is something I actually kind of enjoy.

The emulation saga continued yesterday, but thankfully its all worked out now. Very glad that I had the day off to mess around with that, and still off today to actually play. I did/do feel like I should be at work though.

It’s been really nice actually! Sometimes you are just following years old forum posts that have no follow up and cutting blindly in the goop. At least I’m not the only one who has run into difficulties with these programs lately lol.

At least its in a state of working now.

The other stand alone emulator I like for this game is Project64, but I've been having problems with the steam controller for that one. That emulator worked for my purposes basically straight out of the box.

I don’t think its the Steam Link, mainly because this is not an issue I’ve experience before, both in other games and within retroarch itself. I think you are very right in the sense that these more modern cores are more problematic. Not just adding graphical features like widescreen hacks or anti-aliasing, but also

The default is xaudio. I’ve tried the different audio drivers it comes with, and none of them were any different. When I went to play it over the steam link, the audio issues cropped back up and required even more futzing. The delay is at 300ms now, but it’s finally working. In addition to the audio, there have been

I finally got it working. I just had to jack the audio delay way up to like 200ms.
