Previous Landrover Freelander owner here. I would say I did my due diligence before buying my Freelander. I read every article I could find on the European models. I read every piece of marketing on everything LR had done to better, improve, strengthen, and make more reliable the new to the US Freelander. I felt, I

Totally agree, I bought two bacl to back Nissan Frontier’s because I couldn’t bring myself to buy a Ridgeline and have to look at those stupid buttresses every day. I’m hoping they remove that in this version and take away my only real complain.

I’m sure that V10 TDI was totally compliant as well...

And for once she’ll be right. “Yes honey, it does have a V4 motor.”

Probably the smartest thing they could do at the moment. When you are in a hole, stop digging.

Bob writes a few stories on his Linked In page from time to time. His recounting of his “success”in turning around Chrysler is completely laughable.

Agreed. No one buys a 40 year old British car without expecting to tinker with it non-stop.

Pretty sure Maybach had a panoramic roof for rear passengers that did something like that. Cool tech.

That’s what I have!

Thank you! I’ve always been suspicious of that sign.

Question: Every shop I have been to has a huge sign located near the service writer’s desk stating the dealership is not liable for anything stolen from the vehicle while on the premises. Does a warning of this sort provide them with any way out of this repsonsibility?

And that’s fair, I’m sure those get along just fine.

The last Tacoma I bought was a 1998 x-Cab SR5 4wd. I opted fro the 2.5L 4cyl and 5 speed transmission in hopes of slightly better fuel economy than the 1995 V6 model it replaced. That engine/transmission combo was a horrible combination. The gearing was such that I had to downshift on just about every hill from 5th to

Or, you can do what I did and buy a base AWD RDX for $32k. The Nav is not worth it.

Oh and the product marketing within the show is a nice touch too. It’s not enough to have 35 minutes of commercials for an hour long show. Now I have to watch them bring in fresh Subway breakfast sandwiches for the guys in the morning and have some witty banter about how hard they are all working as they eat them...

I think by nature of it being rear mid-engine it’s something else and not a successor to the S2000. Not that there’s anything wrong with a change up but the formula is different and I think you have to look at them as a sub class to the NSX versus a ragtop roadster.

I’m going to completely agree with you based on the 20 years my wife and I have been together and dealing with her depression. The expectation that they are always going to feel great after medication or therapy is probably the biggest let down for a depressed person. Everyone has bad days but the failure to recognize

I picked up a 2002 with 83k three years ago for $12,500. I suppose if you went older and higher mileage and rough condition they must be out there.

I hope it’s got a big trunk, cause I’m going to put my bike in it.
