Our juries only require reasonable doubt to free an accused murderer. If they had to be held to the standard of beyond all shadow of doubt, no one would ever be convicted for anything.

My most memorable moment in half-life (one) is the teleporting rotating tower, where you had to teleport up the levels in the tower at just the right time. There were 3 portals on each level and 3 rotating blocks. If you missed the rotation you fell and probably died. If you took the wrong portal you'd get teleported

I remember this being a joke, part of it's "KFC," not Kentucky Fried Chicken, because they don't use chickens anymore, just headless, footless, boneless blobs of meat with 4 breasts.

Reminds me of a Simpsons episode where Marge is taking Lisa to the "libary" to read about "foilage"

Frank Herbert said that, "Power attracts the corruptable."

The problem is that there are only so many types of quests. Kill, Fetch/Gather, and Deliver are the main ones that I can think of, and Make for crafting, if you like. Nearly every quest in every game is a variation on those three, but when you have between 30 and 130 quests per zone, it gets plainly redundant.

I read Jack Black as a replacement, and threw up a little. Because they would do that. Remember when Leonardo DiCaprio was going to be Akira (or was it Tetsuo, IDR), yeah it's like that.

Regarding Number 6, it also may be that overweight men are also more eager to please their mates thus delaying their own gratification.

The machines were certainly networked together, maybe using some form of Power Over Ethernet/WiFi. While the humans were playing WoW XXVII, the machines were talking to each other on encryped VPNs. Neo just grew powerful enough to subconsciously brute force their encryption scheme... yeah, that's it, that's the

I always read it that even though he was in his body, part of him was still in the Matrix, which let him control the machines and see them for that matter. Kind of the opposite of Smith who existed in the Matrix, put part of him was released into the real world. I think that if the real world had an overall control

Parts 1, 2, and 3 are fascinating insights to Kubrick's movies. I always hear about what a genius he was but didn't appreciate why.

"Anyway, all the blathering by the creationists is at least as unsatisfactory. Because the question then becomes, what came before the creator?"

Take a deep breath

as an EVO 4g owner, $100 isn't even enough to get me to stay. As far as cell service goes I'd prefer Verizon, but AT&T is where the phones are at and the service is good enough where I live. I've had enough of the quirks and an annoyances of android* and have no interest whatsoever in an iphone. Sprint has one or two

"...which are the undesirable, leftover crap of a cow that's better fit for dogs than humans"

hmm, new google policy in march, new windows phone in march (lumia 900), sounds like a perfect time to ditch my evo.

I always saw it that he was simultaneously evolving and devolving, especially with Kei's speech about amoebas having the potential of men. What Tetsuo eventually started to turn into when he finally lost control of his powers surely wasn't a coincidence.

The author is spot on regarding the quest journal. My high elf mage was not interested in beating shopkeepers for protection money but being as that was the only way to figure out what was up with that damned gem...

Sounds like the original star was the slow spinning variety.
