I recently bought one for my wife. Got a lexus-certified (Their CPO program) 2015 GX460 premium with some options for $36K. That’s only $900 more than a new base model 2wd 4runner.

To be fair, your lights aren’t audible and are often not visible when exiting the car. Additionally, you don’t turn them off everytime you exit the car like your engine, so you don’t think to turn them off every single time.
I bet you MIL’s mazda also has a little button on the handle that unlocks the car if you press it while in possession of the key. Or a touch sensor inside the door handle like my Infiniti.
Actually they aren’t. Almost every modern key (including those from the last 20 years) has a microchip inside it that disables the immobilizer.
I disagree. Pushing the start button and watching the gauges illuminate and sweep as my wheel power tilts and telescopes out to me and my seat slides forward as I place my hands on the wheel and paddles excites me much more than the finding the cylinder and twisting the key.
My grandparents buick does this, as does my Infiniti. People are looking for an issue that isn’t there.
It also allows you to lock your car while its running, allowing me to leave the air conditioner on for my dog when I have to run into a store or something.
I see where you are coming from, but there is still a strong argument for sedans over crossovers. Gas millage is ~20% higher on the focus than the escape while costing ~$5,000 less.
Incorrect. A 30 minute break is required at least every 8 hours. In said 30 minute break, the truck can charge up to 400 miles of range. 500 miles in enough for 8 hours.
What tesla drove straight into a wall on autopilot?
Oh great, 3 more examples that COULD NOT BE less relevant.
Literally irrelevant
I wouldn’t consider that an example of torque. Considering that get one single instance of output vs the constant application of power an electric motor produces.
Where can I find these?
I would argue that the person who wants to add buttons would be just as happy to use a Dremel to perfectly mount there own buttons.
This is is honestly my biggest turn off of the Z.
I love people you like yourself with mini-trucks who think of them as bad-ass, capable off-roaders.
Dude you drove a POS Ford Escape, not an actual EV. As you described it, a 4 banger with a battery attached.
(Ignoring the common sense practice of not parking your vehicle where it will flood)
If only Tesla made some kind of device that could do such a thing...
