Not ignoring it, I’m responding directly to the meat of the article. Cheapened the legacy of the characters is definitely the headline. But the article’s focus is that Robocop and Rambo’s appearances in MK11 undermine Verhoeven’s anti-capitalist satire and First Blood’s commentary on PTSD, and both of those films’

Strong disagree that the legacies of perfect movies can be cheapened. There is nothing anyone can do to RoboCop to make RoboCop less perfect.

All bad takes start as opinions.

Nah dude I knew what it was. But since its easy to prove that 27 million in sales makes Dark Souls a AAA franchise, I can afford to go for a joke instead of the dry, obvious points that no one in their right mind would dispute that Dark Souls is one of the most critically celebrated series of the last two console

Batman: Everyone’s The Joker

Yep. And this is a problem that goes way beyond the Joker. And I love Animal Man, All Star Superman and Astro City. But there are way too many comics about Comics.

Which one is the Space Cowboy, which one is the Gangster of Love, and which one Maurice?

Thanks bud, 27 million in sales proves my point nicely. Any series that sells almost 10 million per entry is indisputably a massive financial success. At 10 million sold, Dark Souls 3 in the same sales category of “niche” titles like God of War, Final Fantasy 15, Spider Man, and Horizon Zero Dawn.

After all, isn’t the point of Early Access to get a lot of eyes on the niggling details of the title?

Alan Moore was so good in The Devil’s Rejects.

I mean, you’d be right if this was the usual kind of awful genre fare that shoehorns in a messiah narrative.... and if this show wasn’t entirely a religious allegory with explicit intent of paralleling the birth of Jesus Christ with the birth of an evil God Snake.

Honestly I would go right to Dark Souls 3. Since the game doesn’t have a linear story you don’t need to play the previous games to enjoy it. The lore is there and its great, but its more of a puzzle and less of a narrative.

Lol on apologists for a series that’s usually listed in the top 5 of the PS3 and PS4 generation. What’s next, Legend of Zelda apologists?

I disagree. Most likely, he will fall into the long recover category. Now the last image of him on the collective consciousness is his terrifying, unhinged debate performance.

I think if he dies, the crazier members of his gang will go full Q and start a church around him.

You’re doing the show wrong.

Absolutely.

The only thing that really truly bothers me is the “there is a prophecy” part

Show might not be for you. Arielle put it well, it’s best viewed like an allegory. There’s not supposed to be a scientific logical explanation for why the God Snake grew in size after diving sperm like into unholy communion with the ovarian core of the planet. The symbol is the reason.
