Yep, he properly covered his ass by phrasing it as “bothered some”

Do the people commenting on this thread understand that Apatow didn’t kill the comedy genre? It’s the global market guys, I promise you. His existence isn’t preventing better comedies from getting made.
Are we sure that’s Apatow and not the studio? When he was making Knocked-Up, he’d had one success coming off a string of commercial failures. I wouldn’t be shocked at all if we was told to drop any overt reference to abortion.
A great sign that you are making a bad internet analogy is when you ignore degree or quantity. A long movie is not at all like being stuck with friends for a weekend, because a long movie is much , much, much shorter than a weekend.
Yep, I love Jesse Hassenger: Destroyer of Reductive Absolutism
If that's true, why aren't we all watching Quibi right now?
Never with the really engaging stuff. Usually what you’re describing happens with mediocre Arrowverse shows. But my mind wanders even when I’m watching only one of those shows, and the whole appeal of them is that I can doze off and not feel like I missed anything important.
We actually had a much more realistic understanding of police forces through much of US history. Aggressive police tactics during the Labor and Civil Rights Movements, post-Nixon contempt for authority, and the wave of police corruption scandals in the 70's and 80's meant that police depictions through the 90's often…
I get where you’re coming from, but people didn’t exactly behave better during the ‘50s and ‘60s when all protagonists were pure white-hat heroes.
And he’s not even good at playing an insufferable asshole. It’s more like if you took the 3rd best kid in a high school drama class — the one with the superiority complex who acts all pouty when everyone is congratulating the two obviously better kids — and got him to play an insufferable asshole.
Does anyone not feel this way about Josh Gad? His success baffles me because it seems like a universally accepted fact that he sucks, but yet he works more than anyone.
No he didn’t. The charge would have been attempted murder, not armed robbery, you illiterate dip shit.
Exactly. Also, from a purely logistical level, its extremely unlikely the murdering cops were even aware of his criminal history at this point in the arrest.
And 3 other cops watched him doing it, without intervening, while being repeatedly told that they were killing this man, and that they were being recorded doing it.
Kehinde Wiley built this statue last year and I think its fated to replace the J.E.B. Stuart statue that it mocks and surpasses. It is conveniently waiting at VMFA a few blocks away.
What!? It is not easy to alienate a fan base as loyal as Blizzard’s in such a short amount of time. It takes real leadership to pull off something that difficult. That’s like the quadruple lutz of shitty CEO maneuvers.
Twitter is built on plagiarism.
I do understand why we need to preserve them from an accountability standpoint, but I don’t know why we can’t still ban him. You should be able to preserve his previous tweets while blocking his access to create more.
There are plenty of laws designed to protect people of color that don’t specify race. Anti-discrimination laws, anti-voter harassment laws, hate crime legislation, integration laws. So there are plenty of laws made to protect people of color, even when they aren’t race specific in their verbiage.
I really liked Douglas, and I really like Gadsby. But I do think some reviewers do her a disservice. Her style is largely personal, anecdotal, and topical, much closer to a conversational comic like Marc Maron than a joke-machine “comic’s comic” like Joan Rivers. But going into Douglas after reading “She starts with…
