Crown Vic - Get a 2003 or newer so you have the rack and pinion steering. They handle (and hold straight lines on the road) much better. Better for a novice driver.

I had always thought they based this on a Mitsubishi body - but I was not fully correct. The Hafei Saibao is based on a late 90's Mistubishi Lancer.
Definitely a good reason why - I suspect this also makes certain certification tasks easier, or at least the overhead to prep for them - they’ve already worked it out on a platform sibling.
Although I agree, the engine should fit (having seen all the room in the 1500 engine bay) it’s important to note the 1500 and 2500 ram are different in a few respects. The 2500 has a solid axle and different suspension up front than the Ram 1500's IFS setup, so that may impact engine placement of a taller deck motor…
I’m so late to this party, but I’ll tell you exactly why this is fake.
Looks kinda like the offspring of a Range Rover and a Lada, but it got the worst qualities of both. (Visually)
I’m the same way - so definitely agree :)
Oh yeah, def a good thing to do on it. But if it was otherwise working well (i.e. no major cooling system failures, just in need of a flush) it would not be something to trigger an emissions test failure.
But a coolant flush is needed to pass emissions... /s
I think it’s more than pure power numbers, but the feel of power delivery. Have to dig a bit, but there is chatter in about how the engine feels not so great from a power delivery perspective, with some commenting of power delivery in the RPM range, perhaps due to how it manages air/fuel and spark between modes?…
The look of this car ages very well - still a very beautiful looking sedan. I also still am not a fan of the front grille treatemnt. But that was fixed along with the powertrain with the VLF Desitno - the Bob Lutz company that redid Karmas with LS based powertains.
Got it - I missed that. To be fair, I did read the whole article, just missed that tidbit.
Sure, why not? Be considerate when doing so obviously, but the action in its basic sense - why not?
Have they released towing numbers yet?
Not sure what is exciting about a middle-tier trim 7 year old used Ford.
NP as that combo is hard to find. These aren’t that complex and parts are cheap - if you want a manual ZJ go for it!
Let’s be real, Packard, and Mopar to a MUCH larger extent saw the torsion bar as our savior in the 50's and 60's.
Gotta deduct $500 for mis-matched floormats.
Jokes aside this one does present pretty well in the pictures as opposed to so many other ads where the car is dirty, trash left in, etc. I know it’s not the V10 TDI but still may be getting up there in mileage to be a reliable daily. I’m not sure if it’s worth the 9k just I know I would pass personally for…
You could tow a race car or really just a spare car so you have a ride to get home when this breaks down.
