Counterpoint: My 2003 Mercury Marauder had 302hp stock. It was dog slow. 450hp now, and it’s much better.

It was the bee’s knees in 1962
A lot of logical responses to this comment here. But that’s the problem - they are logical. Logic should not always be used to formulate how we will see a car.
Sometimes the car is important - maybe a 914 holds a special spot. Sometimes the journey is important - rebuilding the car yourself, regardless of what it is.
Not sure if allowed for Vintage Racing specifically, but I know 3d printing has been used to replicate molds for obsolete parts. There was a Jay Leno’s Garage episode on YouTube a few years back in which he noted they do scan and 3d print some one-off parts from some of the real old cars if needed.
So many of these products seem to appear because they are driven by a custom configuration that someone orders. My best guess is they are done on the manufacturers website (they sell both through their own site and Amazon), and then each custom item gets pulled from the database of the company and exported as a…
Considering prior a single-occupant driver could not use these lanes, having a toll, albiet expensive, does at least open that option to them. That said, the expansion of the timeframes these lanes are HOV only will most likely affect many users who based their work and commute times around the old HOV timeframes.…
So they can have the YouTube video they found for the job in easy reach to check as they go
The last time Renault did an “Alliance” it resulted in the Renault Alliance. Then again, if you think, it also eventually culminated in the Hellcats and Dodge Demon.
Is the front nose accurate for an ‘84? I didn’t think that nose came on them as an option until ‘86, unless it was done early on the pace cars?

This deserves more stars!
I had a 1980 Jaguar XJ6 and it had it even worse - not only was the fabric sagging, but the board itself hung down about 12" in the middle...
Yeah, VA is pretty hardcore on inspection fraud. Failed or out of date inspection you’ll get a ticket, and can get it tossed out if you fix it (but will still pay a very high court fee). But the faking/fraud part they are really tough on. They put a lot of pressure on the shops and people doing inspections too.

Definitely agreed! Amazing to see 7.3l Excursions with 250,000+ miles trading for so much. I’d also say a low mileage 7.3l Excursion would be quite a find too
Future classic, will be the next Isetta...
The Tundra TRD got me thinking - another future classic will be any full size diesel pickup that is left stock / no lift, and with proof to have never had a tuner on it...
They didn’t test a salad spinner though! And a salad shooter, well I guess that’d be forced induction...
This breeds an interesting “cause and effect” between human nature and engineers...
Probably means you got 18 gallons into the tank, and .1 gallons in the to EVAP system :D
I daily a 2003 Town Car. Go for 2003 or newer and you get the updated front suspension with rack and pinion. They’re inexpensive, reliable, and very comfortable. Boring yes, but eats up the commute miles and stop and go very well and relaxing. The low, loud, manual trans car can have its fun away from all the traffic.…
