This? Lap 53 (Apologies for the potato shot.)
From me and the furry horde.
And now I have to unpack, and the cats are hissing at each other every time they pass, and I still need to get the E21 up here (may take Hagerty up on the unlimited towing for that). Still, the Monday morning commute will make it all worthwhile. :)
The garage is a little wonky (back wall has some issues) and needs some work, but it's 2-car sized and easily accessible, and the house is awesome, and my commute will drop to half an hour. Woohoo! Closing in 3 weeks.
So, I finally decided that I loathe my 1 1/2 hr one-way commute enough to move and have started house hunting (work has also been insane, which is why I haven't been around much.) Round 3 of viewings tomorrow morning - trying to decide whether it's better to choose a place that already has an old but existing garage…
That he only eats food on a stick, and is curiously repelled by fake British accents. All we know is, he's the Stig's Renaissance Faire cousin!
I had 2 different BMW driving douchebags do their best to rear end me during this morning's commute to work. 3 series driver with PLAY HRD as your license plate, learn to drive. And get rid of that stupid excuse for a mustache. And X7 driver, your SUV is bigger than you think it is - pay attention to where the corners…
I'm vorspringing, and these are my cars:
Of all things, an Aston Martin Rapide S - it was behind me, so I could tell Aston immediately, but I didn't twig it as the Rapide until I turned and it didn't. Never even seen one of these at C&C.
So, there's this ridiculous SUV that occasionally parks at my work garage that I've been meaning to take a picture of. I mean, it looks like it's ready to go on safari right in the middle of DC - and then there's the 'Murican flag and the horns on the hood. But this morning, I noticed one more thing - it now has an…
It doesn't get much better than this. And there's a car in the song.
I'm so sorry :( I hope this helps a little. It ran well, too.
Released today. Woohoo!
My money's on this guy. He might be slow, but he's got that "don't mess with me" stare down.
Is possibly even more awesome than daytime autocross.
So, I finally broke down and had the E21 towed to a mechanic this morning - I've done everything I can possibly do to troubleshoot the electrical issue and I'm stumped. Fortunately, the local BMWCCA's chapter newsletter arrived on Tuesday and there's a BMW uber-specialist (RRT Racing - Dinan authorized, etc. etc) 5…
I'll stick with my green and blue ones. This is the Cherohala Skyway, not far from the Tail of the Dragon.
On this morning's drive into work, I was behind a guy on a mid size Suzuki/Yamaha-ish bike - followed him off the interstate and onto one of the main surface streets. He had a full face helmet and what appeared to be pretty solid rain gear, which makes what I saw when he stopped for a traffic light even more…
Apologies for the potato cam shot, but it kind of matches the quality of the wing, which I'm pretty sure is on there crooked. I wasn't able to get a shot of the equally awful RSX vinyl on the side.
Absolutely beautiful day for it, and I'm happy with how I ran (4th in class, dropped 7 1/2 seconds between my first and last runs.)
