When the LAPD is calling you out for being racist:

Not a violation per se, but it’s one I experienced this morning which really grinds my gears: 20-30 cars are lined up to make a right turn, all waiting behind one oblivious person without a care who is not turning right

You could have record lows of unemployment paired with salaries paid for each of those jobs that don’t cover basic necessities. Almost everyone needs a roof over their heads, a car to get to and from work, and groceries. And if you totaled up the average cost of everything, sometimes you may get a few dollars to

Nothing says unsustainable more than workers living in their cars.  If you work full time, you should be able to afford a living space.

“Buckets of money from the Feds” isn’t “return on investment,” it’s “reducing cost”.

The only way utilities will see an ROI for grid upgrades is if it allows them to sell more MWh of electricity, or if it can allow them to increase their rates.

You know she’s a literal child in everything you’ve seen her act in, right? If my kids do anything at a B- level I’d be over the moon.

If the bad guys can’t steal guns so that good guys with guns can later shoot at them, the whole circle of life breaks down. It leaves the good guys with no options other than accidentally (sometimes) shooting their family members, friends, and of course themselves.

Yeah, that’s what I’ve always thought too, although I do like the idea that The Thing is already dead and they’re both just suiciding out of pure paranoia. I’ve never even heard the eye thing before.

The best one I heard is that Childs would never take a sip out of MacReady’s flask if he was human.

Based on the statement regarding insourcing, it sounds like Ford et al are aiming to merely outsource the 40% reduction. Which, in the end, comes out the same for the nation.

If a significant portion of the new-car-buying populace adhered to the 10% rule, I’m pretty sure automakers would be bankrupt. That’s partly why loans are up to 96 months now.

Honestly that’s probably the best way to do it. Calm and collected. Don’t freak out and get yourself twisted up in your harness, leg wedged between the steering wheel and the door, foot caught in the webbing, and stuck inside.

That being said, the seller is firm in the idea that he does not want to part out the car.

Kinda can’t un-see it at this point.

Angel wasn’t unresolved. The openness of the ending was a deliberate choice.

Our CEO (private engineering company) gives a very good presentation of this topic every few years to help younger folks understand the business side, relating expenses, profit, accrual accounting, overhead, billing rates, etc. As he breaks down overhead and gets to vacations, heath insurance, professional liability

I went to check the actual released quarterly financials to see if Rivian was really in this bad of shape. If Rivian actually had a gross profit per vehicle, but a net loss due to the costs of engineering and marketing, then scaling the company could allow it to become profitable.

That, at least, would follow traditional Gaelic spelling/pronunciation rules.

Take my damn star, you glorious bastard.
