Nowhere, literally nowhere, did I say firing people would bring inflation under control. The methods that bring inflation under control (increased lending rates, reduced or stagnated monetary supply) historically increase unemployment.

Oh yeah, most jobs aren’t needed these days. BUT we have to maintain the facade that if you don’t work, you’re a remora on the great white shark of life.
