I find hilarity in the fact that every time I mention SEPTA on Giz, someone invariably says something along those lines. What a reputation they have garnered for themselves...

The Swiss are sending trains at 80km/h through the Alps, but SEPTA couldn't run a train on time in the Philadelphia suburbs if their lives depended on it... Why can't we do rail like the rest of the civilized world?

I'm severely annoyed that this hasn't made it out to the Philadelphia suburbs, and is pretty limited in the city still... CampusFood has done it, why can't Seamless, too?

It's really quite amazing at how much it looks the same, but at the same time different. Places such as the Museumsinsel look like they've hardly changed, but Alexanderplatz is nigh on unrecognizable.

I'm not so sure they actually have SAM capability. It would be absolutely unprecedented for a city-level civilian agency to be allowed to have such weaponry at their disposal. Frankly, I'm not convinced that this is nothing more than wishful thinking on the part of the Commissioner. For all we know, his idea of

Because it looks like crap (in my opinion, of course) and apparently handles horribly?

Hah, oversight on my part. I bow to your correction. :)

I always found something inherently disturbing about insects killing higher life forms, like tarantula's eating small rodents, or the various images floating around of a praying mantis eating a humming bird. This is equally disturbing for some strange, primeval reason.

Is it bad that the first thing I thought was, "I wonder if Siberian Standard is any good..." when I saw that picture?

Good question, and one I've yet to postulate to Verizon. I did notice the other day when I was going to take down my texting plan to the bare minimum (thanks, Google Voice, for making SMS obsolete!), that I didn't have the option of changing it without making changes to my data plan too, so I'm not sure what their

And here I was about to dump Verizon for Sprint. Definitely going to wait a bit now to see if they fall off the unlimited horse too...

No MANPAD systems that I am aware of can reach that high. And it's not like they're flying these things into areas protected by SA-4s.

I giggled way too much at that.

There were real worries of hostile regimes taking over the British government at the time. It made sense to have a back up plan in case this happened. Just as there were, and are, war plans in place for every other country on earth. You can bet your ass the British had a plan for war against the United States,

Kind of what I was thinking, but it also looked like it had poor yaw control tossed in with some weird thrust fluctuations and trying to take off without adequate speed. Basically just a piss-poor design...

Dr. Oz needs to have his medical license revoked in the United States for professional misconduct. He does nothing but shill snake oil cures to people that have no grounding in evidence based medicine and create absurd scares like this on a weekly basis. Perhaps those who take their health advice from a salesman

That and the previous video were possibly the strangest things I've ever seen. My French is broken at best, however I don't think I understood a single word of anything he said in either video...

Florida can be pretty hick though... Although hick does not equal southern...

Proud non-JK Jeep owners are vindicated more every day. Jeep left their roots a long time ago when they started producing this joke of a vehicle, so I'm not surprised to see such piss poor quality control.
