Welp, I’ll say it, this was lame.

Seen more than a couple on the road over the last year and they really are quite unattractive. I know it’s the only bad thing you can say about the C8, but it’s kind of important for a sports car to actually look good even if its performance is outstanding.

John Oliver’s voice: “Cool”.

Thanks for the research, I wonder how it dropped from $60k to $41k in 3 years, but this is good information. Agreed about the transmission.

Nice research, thanks for the background. Makes a lot of sense now.

The two listings I found were both automatics, so I don’t know. However, after posting I realize the cracked dash does lower value, not sure by how much.

Anyways, if this is real and not a scam, this is a great deal. Someone should buy it.

Regardless of whether 911s are overvalued or not, this seems low priced and fishy. Stock 2001 Turbos are going for $69k (nice) based on a couple quick dealer listings found. Why is this being sold for nearly $15k less than what dealers want for stock? Do these, seemingly quality, mods lower the value that much? Is

The phrase “If you have to ask, you can’t afford it” is very stupid. Do people really think that every wealthy person goes around just buying things without considering its cost or actual value? Maybe the billionaire class “doesn’t have to ask” but my guess is, they still do. These people base their lives and

I’ve always avoided having any luggage checked-in/stowed-away. My primary reason wasn’t really concern of theft, but more impatience and not wanting to wait at a carousel. Now I have even more motivation to continue to pack as light as possible. Thankfully, as a cliched male, I can pretty much pack for a two-week

So now car companies are just doing “Remastered” versions of their cars like videogames? As much as I respect Koenig’ engineering, this is kind of uninspired.

As someone who unfortunately shares a neighborhood with an (insert salty adjective here) Harley guy that loves to make it known to everyone he’s a Harley guy every non-rainy day possible, yes, I agree. Obnoxious engine noise is annoying. I’m not a kid anymore.

I also have a lust for the 458 and not so much for its successors. Doing a quick Google for “458 vs 488" seems to indicate that it’s probably not an uncommon opinion.

Not everything is 0-60, but when it’s your direct competitor, it’s relevant. The M240i xDrive is 3.6 vs 4.3 (both C&D ideal condition times). Considering both cars do very similar things, it’d be hard to not go towards the BMW for a mere $3,000 more.

I’ll agree to the image aspects, and easier to park. I’m not sure how many buyers genuinely care about emissions or sportiness. Obviously, people like “us” care about sportiness in our machines. I think others just care about what looks sporty. The G-Class definitely doesn’t look sporty, but the Cayenne still kind of

I know you’re just quoting Porsche but I find it hard to believe that the average Macan buyer is making $400k/yr. With that kind of income they could easily afford to step up to the Cayenne or a G-Class and why wouldn’t they?

Well, this is different because this guy did it while people were dying for other reasons.

What’s questionable about the 2-Series styling?

FuncoLand, that brings me back.

As someone who settled for a semi-bare spec CPO 2017 C4S, I agree with your observation. It was very hard for me to find a Carrera S with just the Sport Chrono package that I wanted, that also wasn’t fully-loaded and overpriced.

Genuinely surprised at all the praise for this color. I’ve seen one or two of these in the wild in my life and, while unique and cool, I really don’t care much for it. I guess I just don’t like purple much.
