I also have a lust for the 458 and not so much for its successors. Doing a quick Google for “458 vs 488" seems to indicate that it’s probably not an uncommon opinion.

Not everything is 0-60, but when it’s your direct competitor, it’s relevant. The M240i xDrive is 3.6 vs 4.3 (both C&D ideal condition times). Considering both cars do very similar things, it’d be hard to not go towards the BMW for a mere $3,000 more.
I’ll agree to the image aspects, and easier to park. I’m not sure how many buyers genuinely care about emissions or sportiness. Obviously, people like “us” care about sportiness in our machines. I think others just care about what looks sporty. The G-Class definitely doesn’t look sporty, but the Cayenne still kind of…
I know you’re just quoting Porsche but I find it hard to believe that the average Macan buyer is making $400k/yr. With that kind of income they could easily afford to step up to the Cayenne or a G-Class and why wouldn’t they?
Well, this is different because this guy did it while people were dying for other reasons.
What’s questionable about the 2-Series styling?
FuncoLand, that brings me back.
As someone who settled for a semi-bare spec CPO 2017 C4S, I agree with your observation. It was very hard for me to find a Carrera S with just the Sport Chrono package that I wanted, that also wasn’t fully-loaded and overpriced.
Genuinely surprised at all the praise for this color. I’ve seen one or two of these in the wild in my life and, while unique and cool, I really don’t care much for it. I guess I just don’t like purple much.
Not a bad strategy if you can get it done.
Jesus Christ, no. I know the market sucks but there are better ways to waste $10k.
Road 96 is a good story/adventure game in the vein of Life is Strange (or Last Stop, which just left Game Pass).
Nothing on the PS3 holds up to modern standards.
Thank you, I was also one of the few thousand people to watch that show and it immediately looked familiar.
I just saw yesterday as I was checking 911 prices, a 2020 CPO 718 Spyder listed at $150k from a Porsche dealer that pre-pandemic had fair pricing.
Pretty sure I voted NP based solely on that blue. The scale replica that’s included just sealed the deal.
Will Smith has been watching too much of his self-aggrandizing Bel-Air show. Thinks he’s gangsta now.
It’s TomTom’s time.
Yes, definitely the F430 is really suspect. Seems to have no provenance or special reason to be double the going rate.
Well, not that there’s anything wrong with competition but Horizon Chase Turbo already exists and is pretty great. I wonder how this will be.
