I recently finished "The Power of the Dog" by Don Winslow-it's a fact-based novel about the drug trade in Mexico. It's graphic at times but quite gripping.

As long as you're reading. I love the mystery genre but became curious as to how it was done beyond North America. I stumbled across Henning Mankell, Jo Nesbo, Colin Cotterill, Andrew Pepper, Michael Dibdin and some South African guy whose name escapes me. As far as I'm concerned, they're worth a look.

Booky-Book Duan-

Same situation here. Something's wrong.

Don't get me wrong, Perch and Walleye are fantastic when fried. I'm a Northern Ontario boy so I'm going SMELTS! Pan-fried with butter, lemon, salt and pepper.

Sounds good.

I love that shit. Blue Diamond kicks ass.

Is there such a thing as deep-fried sushi? That would be sweet! Well, not sweet, but crunchy for sure.

Underrated game time snack? Sushi with loads and loads of pickled ginger. [lips pucker, eyes start watering]

Wife put dry noodles into the beef broth at the start of the soup process. SHE'S SO MUCH SMARTER THAN ME IN SO MANY WAYS!

"My Cousin Vinny" is slightly better than its rep.

Surround yourself with good people-you will become gooder as well.*

This much is guaranteed-the Bills will give up way too much to move up in the draft to grab a QB because they'll be snookered by a rival GM into thinking that the rival is going to draft the guy that they want. It's the Buffalo Way!

Anything you'd like to discuss? Cilantro. It's over-rated. It tends to over-power dishes (based on every single recipe I've followed) and everyone thinks that it's the very best thing ever. I'm not in the "Fuck Cilantro" crowd but...how do you guys dish it out?

GAH! Tommy likes a tune that I like! DAMMIT

Ha! First part is correct. It's The Glenlivet.
