I would just like to say again, because I keep seeing it being referenced as a reason why the townspeople of this particular provincial shithole should not be shamed, that I was not at all impressed with Katie J.M. Baker's reporting on the impact of a girl's rape on the townspeople of that other provincial shithole,

YES, THIS. This exactly. The Notebook is in no way, shape or form a good movie, but that shit pushes the hell out of my buttons. Undying love and the unrelenting passage of time kill me every time. I'm not ashamed!

I have heard good things about that Kat von D makeup.

I think you could do really well with bronze. It's my fave, but would probably look better on you than on my almost-grey ones.

Very true. My eyes are pretty much the exact same color as the girl in the story photo, very gray-tinted blue. Not an easy color to suit with eye makeup.

Fuck Reddit justice — based on that photo, I'd say the cat has got the revenge thing covered.

My eyes are blue-gray, which is kind of a weird color for eye makeup. I might try a dark eggplant.

This double-sided Cover Girl thing is what I have, and I really like it. The shadow base seems to help it last longer and makes your lids brighter. They also have the same bronze shade in regular liner. Cover Girl is cheap and awesome.

Hmm, I tried a purple years ago and it did not suit. Maybe I need to find the right shade. Thanks!

Damn my blue eyes.

Honestly, I have a bit of a soft spot for James Franco. Somewhat because he was absolutely amazing in Spring Breakers, but mostly because of his insistence on working with Danny McBride. Speaking of which, have you guys seen the first few episodes of the new season of Eastbound and Down? That shit is a national

I had the same thought. Like, has Callie not noticed that there are often multiple guitarists in a band, and only one can play lead guitar, by definition? A rhythm guitarist is a very normal and not-at-all-made-up thing.

I'm with you. I was reading it feeling kind of uncomfortable like, "girl, I'm sure you're right, but you shouldn't have gone there," but when I got to that last line I thought, "Nevermind. Carry on."

Yeah I need to mix it up a bit. My eyes are blue-gray, so maybe green might make them look more gray? I could be into that. Maybe I''ll give it a try.

It's sad when men try to be feminist and end up being even more patronizing toward women in the process. I'm sure he means well, but damn, that crap gets on my nerves, too.

Bronze is the stuff for blue eyes, so when I use liner I tend to go bronzy, but I was always jealous of green-eyed girls, because purple liner looks so good on them. And I love purple.

Oh, I got you, I was just pointing out how silly it is for them to use that particular line in that context. I am definitely in the same boat as you are. Some people have a very hard time accepting that it is neither warranted nor appropriate to "honor one's parents" when those parents have been abusive and

Dude, Slattery was born in the 60s. Sex with him is not "extreme geriatric," it's just (very likely) hot, hot regular (hot) sex.

I totally agree, and I think the tendency to raise eyebrows at age-gap relationships where the man is older also comes from a place of sexism, i.e., the woman is just a "trophy" and has no agency in the matter at all, which of course is not necessarily true at all. Or, less chartiably, she's a "gold digger."

I find that it helps eliminate all those weird little pieces that stick out if you actually pull more from the back of each section than directly from the side. That way, it pulls in the hairs that would otherwise just be hanging out in back not getting pulled into the braid. Make sure you're grabbing the loose hair
