I’d like to see this done with a modern car...

Kliban reference +1 (belated)

from your link - “They readily occupy a preformed gallery in a piece of wood (a weta motel) and can be kept in a suburban garden as pets.” Wow.

Based on my personal experience as a young driver at the time, YES. Also, loud acceleration even when car is barely moving, and sounds of near-loss-of-control on even the slightest curves.

and beyond!

My favorite retro weather website, but I think there might be source code out there for it...

I’m actually considering a local ‘95 Ciera as a beater car. Only forty-some thousand miles; NYC car. FWD, decent mpg, no state inspections required for that year. Drop some $$$ for a Bluetooth enabled stereo, I’ll be set.

When I ran a K-8 computer lab, this was on the browser homepage I set up. I loved it, and the kids did too.

I’ve had 2 ‘73 T-Birds, a ‘76 Grand Marquis 2-door, and assorted Caprices and LTDs - I miss them all, but especially the Marquis.

Judging from my feelings for the ancient AMC Eagle,

Between my doctorin’ and huntin’ axes, usually.

Really don’t understand how two states with heavy beach tourism end up with 0-5% economic damage - New Jersey and California.

And don’t forget how it was used to in the Dodge Magnum, with all that traditional wagon space in the back.

“Chrysler gave us a Dodge Wagon (Magnum) AWD with a hemi v8 once... maybe this is the Challenger seed we have to plant to start seeing crazier things grow from it.”

“1982 was the first year for the all-new downsized Lincoln Continental, based on the Ford Fox platform.”
If only this was a stick...
Easy performance gains. Room for 7 possibly. Trunk big enough to carry what a small pickup can. Even LOW miles on a car that will

I saw a salvage Alpina recently, I can only assume that would compound the stupidity.
