Do the math on this first, before dropping $70 on a 55 gallon barrel.

That's a tricky question. Those who know how to use google's advanced search features and filters should have no problems. Generic terms with no limits or filters do tend to return a bit more garbage.

@hblair66001: Yes, they all have hex values, but some methods of creating hashes for passwords still rely on "ord()" which is limited to returning 8 bit decimal values. Anything over 255 would error, so error handling changes it a a value in range. It's a bit archaic, but I've seen it elsewhere, and it looks very

@BookNerd: When I said "Copy and Paste", I was referring to the segments of code that handle UTF, not the entire login system. You're right, taking the whole thing would be a huge mistake.

Thanks for the heads-up here. At least the editors of this site seem to care. I just wonder why the people working the back-end of Gawker sites don't seem to. Support for non-ASCII characters doesn't take much in the way of coding expertise to implement. It's fairly standard these days. I doubt the team here lacks

@J Dub: Just create a schedule for launching your torrent client. Set it to start at 2:00am and shut off at 8:00am (or whatever your sleep schedule is). Or set it to launch on system idle and shut off on resume. There are now a number of routers that can do this for you, monitoring traffic across your whole

Dharma RC1 seems to be pretty stable, I'd recommend giving it a try as an install.

I use a similar script, but this should work well. Beware however that taskkill will end the processes, but not necessarily free up all the memory they had reserved. Large games or buggy browser betas tend to be the worst culprits. While the memory is not utilized by the applications anymore, you must make windows

Xbox360 question. I have several thousand videos in a directory. The 360 only displays 1009 files, no matter how I break it down. The same applies to sub directories, only 1009 display.

@cdtank: mkv is only a container format, like avi. The ability of the 360 to play it will depend on the codec used, not the file format. You can use programs like Virtualdub to extract the video and audio from an mkv and convert it to something like a DivX avi. You can also use 3rd party software to stream the file

I know I'm late to the party on this thread, but here are some things to consider:

@TheFu: Good points, but the technologies caught up to most of the issues you describe. If you have a good controller (usually not the on-board type), and drives with sufficient cache, you'll be problem free for the most part. A common mistake is to use higher RPM drives which have a greater tendency to error.

Anybody see an rss feed on the page? I'd make a widget for it in rainmeter or for iGoogle, but the list seems generated on the server end. Page source doesn't refer to anything usable.

@Matt Lyons: Good point. The actual evidence shows that CO² levels in the atmosphere have traditionally been about 30% higher than they are today, and oxygen rises by an equivalent proportion. That's been the standard on planet earth for about 2.8 billion years. The last 60 thousand years is just one of many minute

@rebeldevil: I agree, enough with the hippie bullshit.

I've been searching, but can't seem to find any answers, maybe you guys know.

Anyone tried the Ayrstone Hub?
