Agreed. I like raisins more than I should, but it simply doesn’t work in a New England boiled dinner. A swipe of good butter or a dunk in the broth is all you need.

Mexicantown is a community in southwestern Detroit where many of the original immigrants settled beginning about a century ago. When I worked downtown, I shopped at the Mexican groceries there and often stopped for street food including Sonoran dogs. I must say nothing as elaborate as the ones pictured here, only a…
He attended the class that the Sergeant Major gave on self-defense against anyone who attacks you with armed with a piece of fresh fruit but missed the session on fresh vegetables.
It was in an episode of "Dirty Jobs" with Mike Rowe.
“Walmart replaces machines with humans” is truly man bites dog. But if your Walmart is one of the megastores, I understand it, but much of it is their fault. The 10-12 register bullpen tended by one employee arrangement begs for fraud and lousy customer experience. If the device malfunctions, which it seems to do more…
Yes, but as their gig is ranch dressing, they'd market "Raw Sewage Ranch" if they could.
It was that thing with Mr. Clean that did her in. Sure, he's fine, earring and all, but he always leaves a mess.
What makes her enjoy it? Seeing the ingredients that go into it? The process? The sense of accomplishment, or all of the above? I never thought of it as an educational/expanding horizons tool, but it makes sense. Is she now helping to select the menus?
Completely endorse coconut milk. Aside from shelf-stability and the usual suspect recipes, it gives a twist to so many things like baked goods. I keep half a dozen cans on hand.

I ate plenty of Spam as a kid decades ago. Then during grad school (synonym for poor), I decided I didn't like it that much. But as its trendiness rose, I thought I'd try it every five years or so. By 45, I decided that was just plain stupid.
OK then... let’s just say they have very weak grounds on which to defend their trademark....
As a lawyer with plenty of IP experience, the coffee folks are going to get burned. At a casual glance, they look very similar. Your detailed comparison isn’t how consumers look at labels. Add to that there is no non-affiliation disclosure on the front of the bag and the url is misleading. Most importantly,…
The soak doesn’t always work. You can soak them overnight and still get pebbles in the final product. The beans may be old or the recipe wasn’t right. The IP has let me completely and happily give up on canned beans.
Thanks for putting up the good fight here. There’s plenty of misinformation and simple laziness on here, starting with the author. Ten minutes of research and common sense would have presented a well-balanced and informative article that would allow for thoughtful discussion. First, this is a matter of state law on…
100% in the malt camp, now sadly almost an "OK, Boomer" thing. Chocolate or vanilla is fine by me. Three scoops of ice cream, milk, half the jar of malt. Set blender to Industrial.
Same here. Mint is good for freshening the garbage disposal, not much else.
Connecticut seconds the motion.
Ben Franklin said it best: New Jersey is a keg tapped at both ends.
Should have gone Italian. Stradavocado Bruschetta.
