Can confirm there’s a Houlihan’s in my hometown, and I didn’t know it was a chain until I found another one in my now-town. They’re still around.

I don’t think I’ve read an Octavia Butler novel where I wasn’t simultaneously captivated and distraught at some point. Hell of an author, who told nothing but tough stories.
Finish (start) my Rose Quartz cosplay! Maybe do more sewing overall. I finally got my mom’s old sewing machine serviced, and I’m ready to jump in with both feet. :)
Ah, yeah, makes sense. I also didn’t know there was a limit on borrowed books — i knew it wasn’t yours if you just hit Read for Free, but it also didn’t functionally seem much different. So that’s good to know, too.

Also, I’ve had two separate friends tell me they’re here for me if I need someone to talk me off a ledge when I finish Changes. Lol, it must be intense.
It was legit free to buy at the beginning of November when this was posted.

Yeah, as long as I have room for my old consoles, they hang around. I don’t have my NES anymore (I don’t know what happened to it, maybe Mom got rid of it) and my original Gameboy is a brick, but I still have most of my old consoles and they’re perfectly functional. My Sega Genesis especially gets a lot of nostalgia…
Yeeeup. I still havea Sega Genesis and its original box (which is really enthused about 16 bit technology). Though, to be fair... who doesn’t wanna go back and play more Toejam and Earl sometimes?!
All of Brandon Sanderson’s work is really good. Oathbringer is the third in his Stormlight series. They’re massive books, and take awhile to get through, but they’re great. Hope you enjoy!
Seriously! I read the first couple of novels and was lukewarm about them, but James Marsters really brings them to life. How far are you? I just started Dead Beat. I meant to give it a rest to listen to Oathbringer, but I can’t seem to stop, lol
I’ve never listened to The Truth before, but I gave this a listen while doing some tedious work this morning. Excellent!! Thanks for the rec!
Man, I dunno. There’s something about the dude (probably his face shape) that makes him look scrawny. Then he took his shirt off, and everybody was like WHOA
Yeah, this is how I read it, too. That they were being connected outside of both of their control — dude was getting dressed or undressed, or chilling in comfort in his room or whatever, and suddenly he’s connected with Rey. Didn’t even occur to me to be weirded out by it. And to be fair, I think most of the funny is…
I haven’t, I’ll give it a shot. Thanks!
Yes! I loved it, but it’s short.
This is me too. I was pulling a lot of comics — I’ve pared down. I now have just 3 I adore that I pick up in dead tree format, and I get the others on Kindle sales or subscribe to one of the Unlimiteds for a couple months to get my fix.
I completely fell down a very specific hole a couple of months ago. Fictional investigative journalism, in a world framed as our own, where something strange is happening.
Welp, now I really want that last one. I’ve actually been wanting to incorporate anchovies into my cooking, and those chicken thighs sound AMAZING. And I need more simple one-pan dinners in my life.
Yeah, I know we saw the pin, but then it was never mentioned again. We never find out anything about the rich guy with the pin. I just found it an odd choice.
I honestly figured we’d find out DJ lost his pin gambling or something, lol. Instead, it was never mentioned again.
