This here is pretty much the correct take on situations like this.

The only reason I looked at the extended comments here is to count the number of times he told someone to “eat my asshole”, and then comment the same thing you just did.

I don’t know why I’m continuing to engage an obvious troll here, but in what way is it false equivalence? The sexual harassment portion might be a SLIGHT stretch (but only slight), but you did also mention toxic internet behavior and you’ve been doing nothing but spraying toxicity all over the damn place here.

the claim should be investigated fully and thoroughly.

The more I hear about the game design industry, it’s fans, and these generally unsafe practices at big developer events, I’m glad I was a fucking terrible artist who couldn’t put together a demo reel to save his life .[...] The more I hear, the more likely I’m willing to stop playing games altogether. But hey, maybe

Alleged actions. Lets not forget that innocent people get thrown under the bus before anything has been proven.

Throwing insults and temper tantrums on the internet? That always works to get convince your point. At first I was disappointed you felt that way, I actually had similar feelings before I started working in the game industry. I was going to give positive reinforcement. Now... yeah... um... that attitude is not cool.

Well my understanding was they’d put enough of the server population into enough layers to avoid having so many people in a given area to create that older problem...especially since more people are playing WoW Classic than original WoW back in 2004. Then after the initial hype calms down, remove layering, and let the

If you told someone you worked with to eat your whole asshole, it could easily be considered sexual harassment, which is the type of behavior that you’re decrying. You complain about random players online being toxic and “repugnant,” but you’re basically being the same here, and just in response to someone

We’re all just here to have fun and see gaming news and stuff. Can you just summarise all the sexual assaults in one article at the end of each month for us? Kthnxbye

Yeah... my day is great and probably will continue to be... thanks =)
I don’t need to judge and declare my morale superiority as I’ve stood up for all of women-kind by declaring that I’ll stop “playing videogames” for that to happen either... LOL

Uhh... companies tend to not BUY hardware like servers. They RENT it.

Why?

People think this game will stay huge and have the same traffic as it did over a decade ago.

Hey with statements like “Eat my whole asshole buddy” you fit right in with those you’re calling out for repugnant behavior!

I often have this mentality too, but then I think about all the good people and their jobs being a stake and it makes you wonder what is the right way. This applies to anything really.

Ultimately it seems like boycotting does more harm than good. We need to just keep coming out and outing the people who give everyone

There’s really no point in avoiding games over this. Listen to music? Watch Television or movies? Read books? The same shit happens in all of those industries.

If you think the game industry is any different than other fields in that regard then it might be time to wake up. I wonder what you ended up doing because that really feel like you never worked for someone in your life yet.

It’s really not that weird to think of a VR headset as a blindfold. Even under friendly, safe conditions, have someone touch you while you’re in VR is unsettling much like being touched while blindfolded or in total darkness.

If this is true, that man needs Jesus. And by Jesus, I mean “discipline, boundaries, respect for other people, and probably a beating or two.”
