Simple in 20 years you pay $60 for about 1 hour of a game, then you pay another $15-$20 for a 5 minutes add on. So you keep paying $15-$20 for around 8 times. So in the end you pay $180-$220 to play one game.

Me and my family did the same thing, bought the Wii close to launch. 2 months later stopped playing it, and we haven't touched it to this day. It's still sitting up there in the attic, gathering dust. My ps2 is played more than that system. I feel burnt by the Wii for some reason.

Get back to it! Infamous 1 is good game, interesting narrative and decent game play (from today's standards) there are quite a few draw backs though, repetitive missions (especially story advancing ones). Sometimes stupid difficulty spikes( although I've only played on hard mode) and crap pacing.

There's one thing about All Stars though...It's not out yet and I think that contributes loads to the negativity. Gamers are always like this, we are pretty negative when it comes to new IPs. Write novels? While yeah a game's writing is now where near the level of a novel. It's best to start your own proper novels and then go in to game writing if you really want to. But the thing is telling a story in a game is easy, telling an engaging story that's not intrusive upon game play is a different thing.
