"You gonna make flowers today?"….ugh. That was without doubt one of the creepiest things I've ever seen.

He's convinced me! I want my dollar back.
Nice. I figured they wouldn't hold on that close-up shot of the taillight unless there was some reason.
Can't remember exactly, but was it Rust's tail light that got smashed when Marty smashed the back of car during the fight? If it was it looks like he didn't get it fixed in all that time.
The funny elephants and panda bears I'm loving Darren. The six armed wingless angels, not so much. And all that naked running about and drinking at the end? Oy…I mean my mother could be watching this. You want she should have a turn?
But burn first…then drown.
We don't put Russell Crowe in some fruity movie about suffering - I thought we were together on that.
HE. BUILT. A. FUCKIN'. SENTRY. GUN!!!
NO! CLARENCE, NO!
*SPLURGE*
Hah hah!
The man's a legend for Naked Lunch and Robocop in my book.
"YOU BURNT THE FUCKIN' MONEY!"
Nice use of the word 'pablum'! "You're listening to Pablum FM".
"In Pursuit of The Pimpmobile" from Truck Turner is a fantastically arranged piece. Isaac Hayes was a fantastic orchestral arranger. He really pushed the envelope on how big funky music could sound!
Also memorable for having The Clash briefly appear as "street trash"!
Amen indeed Mr. Dooshbagh. I should point out though that we've only had the one civil war (although another wouldn't be such a bad idea).
You should watch the movie. Shatner's Alexi is thing of beauty!
I'd even go a bit further and suggest that all these 'A' grade shows are attempting to generate a post-capitalist lexicon for how to survive the soul-crushing sense of a society in decline. How can we adjust our psychologies and re-focus on what really matters?
I think the 'broken psyche' applies to virtually the whole of Western society (I'm in the UK and we're just as broke my friend). I think that's one of the great things about BB, it travels. As did The Wire, Sopranos and Mad men. They all shine a light on the mordant, cynical existential ennui of modern capitalist…
