Not really. He’s reversed himself on a ton of issues and actually for years has been more of an outspoken democrat. He’s issue-agnostic, I think, and just saying what he needs to to get elected. But the populism, the anti-trade rhetoric - that’s not lock stock Republican.

I mean look how Bernie fans are split between Trump and Hillary. The populist faction of that group is actually considering voting for Trump because they don’t like Hillary. I mean, I’m just saying - it could happen with this crazy populist movement in the country today.

This is one of the best shows out there right now. I agree with the writer about Paper Boi not moving forward quickly. It (and other elements) brings a realism and feeling of authenticity to this show that is just fantastic...but then some absolutely fantastic jokes in there that border and dip into the absurd.

I’d say give it a chance. There’s some interesting stuff that happens toward the end of the season. But season 1 was just so good that I’d like to see how they’re going to attack season 3. The characters are so fascinating to me.
