I don’t disagree with anything you’ve said. But polling as a statistical science has become harder and harder to do over the years. It’s been a problem for awhile, but because of this election I think people are finally starting to look at it.

So your point about probabilities is dead on. Really there’s two issues: number one, people don’t understand probabilities, but number two, polls haven’t been very good for awhile now.

You’re right, and the reason that we’re in this mess right now is because neither side is listening to the other, talking over each other, and summarily dismissing real concerns.
