Yeah - a girlfriend of mine told me that if it came down to life or death, you could die knowing that you did the right thing. I just don’t understand how we can possibly be for any type of medical intervention (cancer treatment, etc.) if we pull out the God’s will thing.

I read that - it was excellent. But there’s a lot of conservative women out there who don’t buy into traditional gender roles - they’re just conservative on other issues. So Paul Ryan’s comments really, really were abhorrent. I’ve lost complete respect for him over that and the events of the past couple of months.
