Trump supporters thought he won - but that’s it. He started out strong, so you could argue that he ‘won’ the first half by being more subdued. But he lost in the last two thirds of the debate because he was successfully baited.

I’d add though - if Trump gets elected, there may not be much future given his access to the nuclear codes.
