I believe that I’m living a fuller, better life because of my commitment to sexual integrity. I spend all day, every day doing the things that I want to do, because I’m not wasting my time worrying about waking up next to a stranger, contracting a sexually transmitted infection or missing a period.

Yes. They’re all answering the phones and writing letters. You don’t actually get to do the cool stuff until a couple of years in, when you work as a legislative assistant and are responsible for specific policy areas.

Yeah that happens with some of the staffers in DC. But many of them work their way in as interns, start as legislative correspondents (basically they just answer phones and read mail). She probably is doing some pretty basic work for those members.
