Like every country, there are nice accents and horrible ones. Britain is no different...

I mean, you’re not wrong...but Christie does sort of come off as unhinged with her social media response.

That’s a great observation. Very interesting - I agree with you.

I was quite hopeful of this story about shedding protective layers. After my experience with perinatal depression, I found comfort and community in sharing my mental health illness.

Well, that’s a SWING AND A MISS!!!

For me, it’s that new leather tunic thing that he wears now (started wearing it around the Battle of the Bastards. For some reason it makes him unquestionably good looking. I dunno why.

He’s one of the only Republicans trying to fix higher ed financing so our kids don’t die in debt. Does that count for something?

EVERYONE - Don’t click on that site. It’s horrible. They don’t need the internet traffic.

I see we’re talking on a couple of threads...BUT...I am a huge proponent of meds during pregnancy and postpartum. Taking care of a mom’s mental health is just as important (if not more) as the baby’s health.

OK. I had prenatal depression and severe postpartum depression. I hated being pregnant the whole time. It was scary and really hard.

I know you don’t need it, but:

I really struggled with making friends during pregnancy. But after I had the baby it was a bit easier, I felt. I got in with a postpartum support group. It’s a bunch of chill moms and it’s super helpful. Outside of group, you basically have to chat someone up and then if they’re somewhat receptive, exchange numbers

Do you have a postpartum support group in your area? I go to one of those and I find that it’s a pretty chill environment because we all had horrible pregnancies, most of us stopped breastfeeding because of hormones and we are not exactly the crunchy crowd.

The best mom friends I made were from my postpartum depression support group (evening group - so it was for working moms). I basically scouted out the ones that seemed to have mostly my sense of humor and got lucky on some occasions.

I’m from Virginia (obviously) and I’m aware of gators, but the prevalence and extra precaution probably wouldn’t have occurred to me. I’m not sure that I would have thought about it in a resort...just wouldn’t have made the connection. The water does look swampy but it wouldn’t have been the first thought that I had.

You should totally plagiarize it!

After Orlando, Gorilla Mom, etc. I seriously am not sure I can facebook any longer. Good lord the horrible things that come out of people’s mouths.

I guess if you feel bad, you can ghost them. But your child’s health comes first.

Amen to that. Hunter is the worst - no one can stand him in DC.

Everything she does/says confuses me.
