Same. My ring cost 800 bucks. Yellow sapphire stone (because a diamond is a terrible investment) set low since I play a lot of contact sports.

Chuck Schumer called for the exact same thing in 2007 - stonewalling a nomination. It never came to pass, because no one died after he made that statement but before Obama took office.

The loan probably wasn’t for 1500 dollars. That’s a thirty year old loan, which has probably been compounding interest. The loan was probably for a much smaller amount like perhaps a couple hundred dollars.

I used them two weekends ago when I was in Atlanta! I think they’re sponsored by Seventh Generation or something like that. But they are great. They’re quiet(ish), you can set your stuff down, there are shelves for pumps or other crap and you can sit back with your baby and nurse in peace.

I have no problem whipping mine out to feed my kid sans cover - ain’t no shame in my game - but it’s definitely not for everyone and I totally understand women who don’t want to do it in public and have babies who won’t feed under a cover. Plus it’s just awkward and hard to get comfortable when you’re trying to do it

I’m glad I’m not the only one who keeps thinking that when I think about Rubio!

Right, but they’re basing this on a new study that they did recently which suggests fetal alcohol syndrome exists on a spectrum, not the surrounding much larger body of historical studies which suggest moderate drinking while pregnant is fine.

When I talk to people, it is really striking how many people struggle with the same thing and just don’t feel comfortable talking about it! I’m glad you’re doing the same thing!

Ugh. I’m so sorry that that was your experience! We really need to improve mental health services in this country!

In general the focus for prenatal and postpartum care is frequently out of balance with far too much emphasis focused on the baby. Mother and baby health should be held in an appropriate balance.

Yes - sounds very similar! What prompted the medication was basically starting to have suicidal thoughts at almost five months postpartum. I had been feeling hopeless, going to bed early, having anger issues but that stuff all sort of got lost in the transition of having a child.

I had prenatal and postpartum depression. Still dealing with postpartum depression.

GOOD. The intellectual dishonesty surrounding this whole situation was appalling, particularly among our leaders. When the Republicans fan the flames of ignorance, we get outcomes like Donald Trump and Ted Cruz, paving the way for another term of a Democrat President.

I think you’re right if Trump or Cruz gets out of the primary. If it’s anyone else, I’m not so sure.

If they’re preaching politics in the pulpit - won’t they lose their tax exempt status...?

Personal fulfillment coming from something other than my children and my home - ridiculous!!!

It still kills me that McConnell comes from the state that had one of the most, if not THE most, successful implementations of Obamacare for uninsured Kentuckians.

All this Trump noise is just the death knell of him being a ‘serious’ candidate. We all knew he’d go away (though the fact that all the xenophobia and Big Brother comments got SOO much support is a bit troubling).

That’s right, isn’t it. I had read an article in the Washington Post about care in the Netherlands for pregnant women. Quite a different approach/culture.

I hadn’t read your post, I was referring to nka’s post and the author’s article. I should have specified.
