This is the real deal. If women separate sex from child-bearing, they aren’t going to settle for just anyone. We will (gasp!) expect someone who cares about our wants and interests in bed.

Because they don’t actually care about fetuses or children or the welfare of women and families or the sanctity of life or whatever - they just want to control women and/or punish them for having recreational sex.

I’ll be honest, I’m a conservative who hates abortion (though I support access to it, and dispise any attempt to make it illegal) and I support free access to contraception.

That’s so stupid- even if they look at it from a purely selfish perspective! If women are punished for having sex, then that is a disincentive for them to have sex, right? If they are more reluctant to have sex, then all the sexist men are having less sex too because they find it harder to find a willing partner

Add to that they don’t want the government to pay for prenatal care for poor women; not to mention no help for children already born; and it’s clear that their priority is controlling vaginas.

Make America Great Suffer Unwanted Pregnancies Again!

“And when you tell someone you have real problems, all that happens is that you get lectured about your “white privilege””

Access to services, oppressive homogeneity, destructive cultural and religious norms. Economic stress is not, contrary to the argument someone is trying to make, worse in rural America. Conformity is.

I find it amazing that you think that low wages, food and housing insecurity don’t happen in cities. Everyone is being hit by those things, low income folks everywhere are struggling.

Oh wait...someone did try to do that!!

I understand. I think it’s the frustration that we haven’t heard the suffering of minorities, like, ever - and now white people are burning the whole thing down because we’re not listening to them.

So you’re using a faulty argument against an argument no one was making. Interesting tactic.

People have very short or convenient memories, Bush/GOP ran the economy into the ground , the worst since the great depression of the 1920's.Stock markets collapse, real estate markets crashed., people lost their home business,Jobs 401K were worthless. The financial sector and automotive sectors had to be bailed out

Or that after the most recent economic downturn, all the money for recovery went to the cities?

Why does that even matter?

This is the most ridiculous argument ever. They picked a 5x bankruptcy abuser who has decimated thousands of small businesses, and squandered ONE BILLION DOLLARS of other people’s money, who literally lives in a gold-plated palace because they think he will help them? Bull. Shit.

I don’t live in a major American city. Life is not like this here. You might want to ask yourself WHY it is like this in some places. Could it possibly be because the people in charge (ie, repubs) have pulled safety nets out from under their constituents? Could it be that they aren’t funding education like they

If you’re living in an urban city, things are great for you.

Man, if only democrats or a Democratic president had tried to help retain them if they lost their jobs to trade deals, help their kids have more/cheaper access to education, put them to work repairing America’s infrastructure, or entice companies to bring jobs back to America.

The problems of which you speak have been problems in the cities. I don’t know who you’re talking to but there are plenty of people in the cities who are suffering. The difference seems to be that for some reason the discussion about suffering in rural areas are talked about as though the people there are not at fault
