That may not compare well with the minimal upkeep and long life of a Lexus.  But the opposite may be true of European brands.

If a Mustang and an Accord coupe had a child, it might be this. Are BMWs relevant anymore? Almost verything is fast, comfortable, and generally handles ok now...

This would seem to be among those pranks; it doesn’t make sense any other way.

I agree- donks are fun to see, whereas stance just looks broken.

People are still digging out at Donner summit- the cabins in April were all tunneled into.  Tahoe snowfall in a big winter is off the charts.

It is a really nice radification of a Focus sedan, and maybe well done, but I’d want a careful dealer inspection AND a bodyshop review before comitting for a substantial discount. But if it’s good, why sell? It could be a great daily driver, assuming all the parts get along and there isn’t some weird body issue.

An inspection?  What’s that?  In California no one cares if your car only has 3 wheels, as long as it’s emmissions are good.

Fresno is beautiful this time of year.

I needed a garage, which I finally got, although I’m a lousy wrencher. That I have no traffic (in California!), and a beautiful canyon drive 10 minutes away is icing on the car cake. Room for minor repairs at home and room on the road for fun drives!

Other than VW fans, who buys old VWs?  A Karmann Ghia, bus, bug or even first gen GTI?  Not great cars, but if you like VWs, this one looks mighty fine, andthe Dasher is pretty obscure.

Old American cars from the 1970s were malaisey, ugly, and awful interiors, while European and Japanese cars had attractive interiors, good mpg, and could be fun to drive.  The Chevette and Pinto were mostly awful attempts at small cars.

Dare I say it? For $17k you can have an excellent Miata that is fun, dependable, modern, and fast...ish. But I realize, it doesn’t have that sweet classic look...

Back in my day, we all had cottage cheese made of asbestos on the ceiling, and I’m still here.

I had a t-shirt of a targa as a kid, and a few neighbors that owned them. I was one of those suckers for European cars.  They are the right shape, the racing history, the consistently sporty sports car. I love other cars, of course, including my necessary compromises, but Porsche are pretty great. To me. Apparently

More Rockford!

Modern brakes and suspension make these driveable... and stoppable.

this, or something like it, should be part of every shop class.

I’m almost surprised people still buy sedans, given the insatiable market for SUVs and CUVs.  Lagging sales will be corrected by a ruggedized CUV version.

My bugeye WRX ran great except for a couple radiator issues, oil burning, and the engine just up and dying at 189k miles. I liked it so much I got a rebuild that didn’t burn oil and new struts. Then some jackass hit me on the highway and totalled it.
