I would have hought coming back to the US FCA would make sure to double their efforts to make reliable cars and undo their old reputation. I guess they went with the no one remembers strategy. Not a good one.

Or it only has 3,000 miles. I have an Acura with 100,000 miles- no issues.
I want to know the as yet unanswerable- will it hold up like a Toyota or like a BMW?
That Virus was a beauty, albeit not a great name. Cool creative home brews, like the old Detroit cars in Havana.
When I’m in San Francisco looking for street parking I wish I had a Smart car. That’s the only time.
Thank you.
I salute PT Cruisers and neatly tended “eyesore” yards with windmills and weird ornaments. These people are living their best lives and I’ll bet your house is blandly identical to everyone elses. I have a cow skull, a ceramic pig, and a rusty wheel in my landscaping that might frighten you. What I fear is untended…
Jason, you are so right. It’s a goofy little car that I fell in and out of love with, but a lot of people loved enough to actually buy and some to keep and maintain. They were a cool small hatchback, which is great, and I salute those PT drivers.
I’m having issues with the feng shui of this- it looks designed to break in half from its size and hanging something heavy in the middle. Piggyback or hanging underneath seem like better designs to this non-engineer.
Huh, in California I only pay taxes when I purchase a car- more taxes on a pricey car. My yearly registration is based on that value, but it declines every year. My oldest car is less than $100/ year to register.
Who defines the tax laws and who benefits? The winners and losers are those that fund the Congress and those that don’t. Don’t act as though we all have an equal vote or equal say in government policy.
Writing about oil is universal trolling; people get all kinda worked up with mystical beliefs about oil!
I prefer to think of it as pomegranate juice. The alternative explanation is too awful.
Hatch sports are great- the trunk on the BRZ was just too impractical for me to have as a daily driver, despite a great test drive. The hatch on the MGB GT made it useful, despite all the other issues it had.
It was a little silly taken literally, but it succeeded as a fully realized dystopian society with different cars housing different classes and it’s own crazy system of government. Putting it on a train instead of a spaceship was a novel idea.
2002 Imprezas had seat airbags. My WRX did.
Hmmmm, you claim the air is pulled in from above, yet dust from dirt roads enters the car from the rear. Perhaps the dust was stirred from the front wheels into a vortex over the roof where it was then funneled into the open rear window. Or perhaps.....the dust was pulled in along with the fumes from the lower rear…
Hella stanced bro.
Weirdly, I think Jason’s suggestion of an Avanti is the best one- it stands out anywhere, and it’s got class and luxury and muscle. The other suggestions are pretty damn Beverly Hills. The Avanti says “look it up”.
Too common in rich CA communities.
