That’s not a looker. But I'm sure I'll soften to it once I see the lx.

I now see Phaetons all the time at the 200K miles range nowadays. So they can go the distance in terms of mileage

In my neighborhood this would be grounds for Karen to call the police. She’s got them on her speed dial.

As mentioned, his payout should be market price.

His insurance company may be screwing him over. The payout should be based on the current market value of similar model of his vehicle. Whatever the market value is now is what should be paid not what it was before. If they offer to low a price, he should get 3 or 4 estimates from the internet or local dealers of a

$15-16k for lightly used versions with under 35k miles all day long at your local CarMax.

I can’t disagree... it’s the perfect car for the non-car person who begrudgingly buys a new car every 15 years... and even then, can still get 20% back on resale.

Holy fuck it’s still on sale lol

tbh, he probably forgot.

Not a slide show?

every single one of them. but mostly the very simple ladder framed roll up your own windows lock your own doors vinyl seated v6 trucks they have the balls to charge 38k for a crew cab. every single full size truck is overpriced.  second i would say is all german cars and their option prices.

I don’t think you can do better than a GX/4Runner for an overlander. The Wrangler is a better pure trail machine, but the road manners and reliability of the Toyota’s makes them the kings when you combine distance and dirt.

pros and cons. I have a split gate in the 80 series and the swing gate in the GX and they each shine in their own way. The swing gate is great because it opens a huge area and lets you reach in to get stuff and get access to the roof really easily (especially if you keep the air springs and you can lower the back). Man, that’s looks really good with the silver exterior and gunmetal wheels. I think I need a GX now...

I really don’t know why they moved the tire underneath. Probably Lexus related...more upscale or something. I will have to move my spare to the door or inside because a 33" tire will not fit underneath without some massaging (air down the tire and stuff it up there). Even if it did fit up there I know the cable/pulley

Watching this past year’s overlanding hype had me pick up this 1 owner 06 with 230k always dealer serviced miles on it 2 weeks ago. Already got some TRD wheels and meatier rubber and full fluid change/radiator just in case. Ditched the boards and can’t wait to hit the trails this weekend! If anyone is around NOVA let

It always takes my brain a second to adjust when I see a GX 470 doing actual off-road duty. Intellectually, I know they’re built for it, but I have been conditioned to seeing them doing mall parking lot duties for so long, it’s weird seeing one out in the wild.

I share the sentiment, but upon further reflection, there is most definitely a dollar amount that would get me onto a cruise. I don’t know what that dollar amount would be, but if anyone reading this really wants me on a cruise ship, I’m taking offers.

Rural AM radio? Yes, many things. Mostly the fact that it’s a bunch of ill-informed, angry, right-wing loons spouting conspiracy theories and other dangerous garbage.

Probably because this is one of the first “normal” vehicles that happens to be electric, and have respectable price/performance numbers.
