This is why I daily drive a 15 year old GX460 with a 2" lift and some 33's. It’s far more comfortable and even at top of the market in 2022 I paid $20k plus a few $k in new brakes/tires/lift. $50k+ for a near base 4 cyl Ford isn’t it.

Watched it last night and enjoyed it. I’ve seen the first one pretty much every year since it came out. The second film is my second favorite movie but I was saddened the third lost the formula. This movie made up for it both with music references, good shooting scenes and a lot more laughs, though the car scenes were

Used GX460. Unlike 4runners and Tacoma’s, they’re creampuffs for most of their lives and very capable even in stock trim. 4Lo, diff lock, downhill assist, it’s all there along with fancy seats and remote start. Here’s my 10 with 130k miles, drives same as the 2020-22 loaner GX’s I’ve gotten.

I think it’s significantly less for the actual car loan without his extra taxes, registration, GAP or whatever else he sprang for in the $304. $9600 loan at 3.9% for 48 months would be $783 in loan interest, $216.33 a month. Or less than $200 a year to borrow the cash and invest the $9k instead.

To be fair that CD test was in the cold. My GX loses a few MPG in winter as well

The “earth” colored GX shown is the Overtrail which is a 2 row only. The more basic premium and luxury still offer 3 rows.

Questionable until you look at the Cadillac. I can’t think of any uglier sedans than the CT4/CT5.

Comfort, quality, reliability. I beat the snot out of my ISF daily for years and it gave me no issues. It was also a much rarer car than the Mustang, which you see 20 of daily. With or without an exhaust setup, very few cars sound this good.

That’s the huge upside of the F’s, they fall to a certain point and then stay there. I thoroughly enjoyed my 08 and my 12 ISF for 3 years each, and barely lost money the first time, and made money the second time. That’s also the downside of the new F’s, why pay $90k when you can pay $50k for essentially the same car

There wasn’t a day my ISF didn’t hit redline in 6 years. Very few sports cars you can abuse and see zero issues, especially well after warranty ends.

When driving spiritedly the tach is much more useful. The car comes alive at the top end and there wasn’t a drive where I didn’t hit redline.

Having owned an 08 and 12 ISF, I appreciated the newer gauge cluster for looking cooler (similar to the RCF), but I agree that it made the analog speedometer useless. Here are the two below used on 08-10 and later 11-14 models.

I don’t think I’ve had a phone battery die on me since 2009.

The Tesla is bland and dated, but looks exponentially better than the Bolt.

GT5 sucked because it teased us with GT HD, then GT5 prologue and then GT5 which still felt unfinished. Same reason why GT7 is sort of a letdown. Sure it’s prettier and there’s a few nicer cars. But some of the best cars are still missing. GT4 coming out with no DLC is a testament that good things can happen all at

Majority of EV owners I know care most about the quiet car and ease of charging at home over the environmental impacts. Would you honestly rather them make another V6 instead?

I don’t quite understand your long comment as you state you don’t want to have multiple cars yet you still have multiple cars.

Your anxiety is silly in my eyes because anyone looking at EV’s should be well aware by now that their range will be impacted by all of those things. Ev’s are for a 100 mile roundtrip commute rain or snow max, and even then, are a stretch. It’s a short commuter car and that’s it.

Simply put, I enjoy the GX much more. The riding position and hitting 50 potholes a day in Baltimore city are far more comfortable. I literally upgraded my suspension and got thicker sidewall tires to make the roads ride like a dream. The 12mpg I get doesn’t matter as I have a 9 minute commute. I did daily the CT 3

Maybe it’s just me but I can’t understand the fear of range anxiety. I daily a lifted GX460 with a 9 mile round trip commute. For longer trips we have a gas saving CT200h, but even then the number of times we go longer than 2 hours round trip is a handful of times a year. I imagine majority of commuters are in the
