It truly is insane, even worse on the LX470 which I really wanted and the only reason I had to settle for a GX. Yes, with the Lexus dealer history pulled it and printed, it was nearly 30 pages with so much work.

Until the healthcare systems start to be overwhelmed and affecting other services or services of those in charge, nothing will change. That’s the sad truth. If they are vaccinated and are able to take precautions such as limiting being in enclosed spaces, practicing clean habits, and overall keeping mindful of their…
Majority of people who got it and got over it don’t care. I see people who have had it multiple times and still don’t have their taste back and still don’t care. To them it’s a cold.
Not sure how that applies here. The owner of this car didn’t do anything but have a thief steal it while red tape avoids responsibility. OP implied that having a nice car or nice parts means you don’t deserve nice gestures when you have not nice luck.
Upgrades that are usually covered by additional insurance, which in this case is screwing him over. You’re not forced to donate anything, this is an enthusiast website, with a sad story about an enthusiast.
To be frank, the gas tax should have already been raised. It hasn’t really budged in 30 years while average MPG has increased and there are loads of hybrids and EV’s taking advantage, while roads, bridges etc have consistently gotten worse.
I understand the sentiment but it’s pretty easy to say when you “have” everything and as you said, this doesn’t really apply for kids. For my family we just give each other gift cards and spend those on each other with meals/trips etc, so essentially the money is just in an endless cycle within the family.
States that only have one inspection upon purchase should also be considered. Maryland has one inspection, Virginia has annual. Guess which shitboxes have which plates.
Two years ago you couldn’t give away an OEM catback off an ISF(my current car) as no one wanted it. Now the catbacks secondary cats are worth $600 used, and the primary cats on the headers are worth $1200-1500 used. No wonder everyone ordered headers this year..
Makes sense seeing as how Tesla’s are the most commonly wrapped cars I see.
Also the social media dollars. Recently watched a vid on how much even 100k views a month view gets you and downloaded tik Tok that same day. But I’ve only opened the app once and never since though..
All very true! I talked my dad into a 19 and after multiple SUV’s and pickups he won’t let it go even for a 200 series which he feels is too heavy. The truck is relatively light on it’s feet and while basic, it’s bulletproof and practical. He takes it fishing 6 hours from DC to Lake Erie twice a month. I currently…
I have a sport sedan and wife has a hybrid hatch. I bought a beater GX470 to take to the beach and I hate to admit I absolutely love driving it in the city and on highway so much that I’ll be selling it for a newer GX460. It legitimately feels far safer both in size and ability to see in the distance and able to…
Technically you don’t need any of these things, but they’re there to make life easier/more fun, etc. In my GX470 sure, I have no choice but in my ISF I have both and only use the paddles. Driving my dad’s previous 15 Durango, paddles were also easier every time.
They are great in hilly mountains areas as you mention and while towing. Even the best auto transmissions have difficulty keeping a proper gear going up hill.
For those with bad backs, heated seats are a godsend and below 40 degrees help a lot more than I’d like to admit. It’s mandatory in any car I buy.
You realize that people tow trailers, boats, RV’s etc all without a 5th wheel right? People can haul mulch, lumber, doors, trees, etc all without damage. The seating position and ride quality is great, the depreciation is minimal, and you never have to rent a truck or trailer or pay for delivery again. Camping and…
100% this. So tired of boomers complaining about FB etc. Fb is great for what you like and it’s basically an OS at this point. Messaging, photo sharing, groups, events, forums, status updates, news, etc it does it all. If people choose to be stupid with it, that’s their choice.
As someone angrily house shopping for over a year now, allow me to introduce you to the magic of wide angle shots.
What are you observing, people who drive their trucks daily? They get decent MPG’s now and they could do home improvement projects or tow their toys on the weekends. Are you demanding they drive an economy shitbox if they’re not using their truck as a truck? I daily drive a 500hp sports sedan, should I drive it 9/10's…
