As a Russian(with Russian mother and Ukrainian father), I found it fascinating to see both the evil/corrupt/greedy side of government and KGB as well as the heroic side of the workers and scientists offering their lives for the sake of others.

I think you replied to the wrong person.

They offer a ton of free/discounted rides for major holidays, new members, monthly codes, etc.

Seems a little over the top, but hey, I don’t do brakes myself either. I take it to local shops or friends with shops. They usually charge me $200-300 with new fluid. Still a fraction of the dealer. All I’m saying is, get the bigger brakes and find the deals.

I would take anything from a dealer with a grain of salt. My Lexus dealer wanted $1100 just for rotors in parts for my ISF with 6 pistons. Plus $700 for pads, plus labor. I bought oem brembo rotors/pads for $500 shipped from rock auto and auto zone. Car eats them every 30k with hard driving, but hey, still much

I think how the dealership and corporate treat you also play a large role. My ISF is 11 years old, yet I’m treated to free loaner cars, shuttles, massage chairs, breakfast, etc and corporate even paid for a common repair out of warranty. Oil changes aren’t even that pricey compared to local shops. There’s plenty of

Semantics.

G35/G37 has always been a Z in a nicer package. Get the 6 speed and you get the big brakes, LSD, nice clutch/shifter, and overall very tight and reliable package.

IS300, G35, G8 GT, TL-S, Accord V6.

More like 330-340whp with FBO and a healthy tune. But I do agree, it’s still a decent performer stock. Loved my manual G37 coupe and sedan!

Most of the drivers I meet don’t do it as their main source of income. They do it in their off hours specifically as a side hustle. Others do it because they can’t get a decent job anywhere else either due to their lack of skills or their lifestyle(having kids/taking care of elderly etc). Are there “professional” Uber

I guess I have to dumb down my argument to Alabama levels: Enthusiasts want manuals.

I guess the word “base” didn’t mean anything? Infiniti Q, Lexus IS, Audi 4, Cadillac CTS/ATS, 3 series etc. All of these come with base 4 cylinders, and how many enthusiasts do you see in those cars? The vast majority are in the 6 cylinder TT or V8 versions.

I disagree. Enthusiasts are the ones who beg for manuals. Enthusiast don’t buy base 4 cyl’s.

Checking the oil is easy enough without removing anything. I can pop off the main cover in 2 seconds. The 3 other covers have clips that all in would take maybe a minute tops to remove, but I don’t even keep the clips in because I adjust my coilover firmness weekly depending on the driving I’m doing.

12.3 at 113 too. Quicker than the RCF, GT350, SS 1LE etc.

Counterpoint. It looks elegant and not like a bumbling mess. My ISF is the same with engine covers on everything, to hide the spaghetti power underneath.

Great way to put it. Personally I’d love to own a GT350, but would not consider a GT.

Seems like a dream job really. Thanks for the mini-story!
