I agree, I have seen people put a tune on a 3.0T premium, and it’s faster than a stock red sport. Of course it needs additional cooling to be safer, but it’s definitely underrated to be able to be improved easier down the line. Hell, the “400hp” dynos at 375whp, and the “300hp premium” dynos at line 305-310whp stock.

For the VQ35/37 it’s not an issue. But the new 3.0T I believe they do. Seen 1-2 on the pages already have dealer pushback with and without mods on them. Time will tell.

Yes, but it can depend.

Counterpoint. I think it looks good.

You asked for 0-60 sub 5.6, and asked for a sub $15k GTO.

Keep in mind, most of the below are dealer prices too..

This car is simply over priced which means you can get much better cars. Sure, the 0-60 times and track handling may be comparable, but at the end of the day you’re comparing a rare tin can with a turbo to rwd and awd luxury or american muscle. Hell, a low mileage NB with a slap on turbo kit can be pieced together for

350Z, 370Z, G35, G37, C5, Camaro/Mustang, GTO, WRX, etc..

One more year. There’s already 10 nationwide at $49k at retail pricing.

You can get a brand new 6.4L Charger for less than those.

$100k+? That car was like $70k new at best and is around $35-45k now. About the price of a loaded Camry.

M56 is great, though a bit of a gas hog. With an exhaust and minor work you can see some pretty good numbers and have a great interior to boot. I went with ISF after though. Thanks!

The Q50RS disappointed me, though the potential for tuning is great. The belt snapping issues on the 16's and 17's bothered me, as well as them using the same 7AT and the loss of LSD. The 18 model with nicer upgrades looks a bit better in and out, but nothing that my ISF has me missing. I get more power than stock

Get an 10+ if you can. BT audio, newer front bumper and lights, and better overall interior and options. I had a 12 and 13 sedan, loved them very much but went with V8 after.

To be fair, that’s a V36 G35. So newer G37 body, but old name for that particular year. It was pretty sizable, and certainly bigger than the 3 series or IS350 for the time.

$54k for a loaded GT? Jeezus

That’s the big red flag though, “tune”. On almost any NA application, intake/exhaust even sometimes headers/cats, you can get away with modding and not being out of warranty. But the second you alter anything ecu related, it’s a solid nope. On FI cars even an intake can void the warranty, so I can certainly see BMW

Well it’s on bags so..

But then you look like the typical Civic Si driver beating the piss out of your car but only doing 40.

Get a lightly used ISF and a much better car in and out that’s just as fast if not faster. Scat packs are great, but 392's are better, and Hellcat’s are down to $52k very lightly used. Cat pack is just too cheap inside for $40k+.
